Yeah but it's not too significant so I was cool with it. I couldn't stomach the idea of having an OF of Trout/Blackmon + a waiver OF.

I still prefer Cueto to Pence, but it's about needs. In October I made the deal because I figured it would be easy to find a replacement outfielder in over 4 months. SG, North, TRM all have excellent OF but weren't interested in dealing any. Everyone else either asked for too much, or pulled out and decided to keep their OF. Then Carter got OF eligibility so North and I came back to this deal.

That's why I hate to see him go. I want to keep him but I can't justify keeping him over a Gallardo. Even though Smith could outperform Gallardo (and be more beneficial to my team), the latter will have more trade value.

Yeah so I'll move Quackenbush or Joe Smith for the best pick offered to me if anyone has room for a holds guy. Also, still listening to ideas involving Gallardo or Gyorko.

I could literally bench all my batters other than Trout, and still likely beat you 9-5.

Yeah I want to acquire another big bat. I went over the top with the pitching when I didn't need to. I should be able to move an elite arm for a bat and still have a good staff.

For me the worst trade was giving Fatt Adams + Mid 30s MiLB pick for 8th overall. It's nothing too consequential, but I clearly overestimated the value for an MiLB pick. I also didn't think Adams would be relevant a year later and was under the impression I was selling high. The trade I regret the most is Cueto for Pence. I still like Cueto and think he's at least as equal to Pence in value, but now I'm having a hard time acquiring another outfielder. I thought it would be an easy task to find one but it's proving rather tough.

Looking to trade a mediocre SP for a mediocre OF. One of Gallardo/Santana/Weaver/Verlander. I would also listen on an OF for one of Cueto/Zimmermann trade.

Agreed. All of our personal evaluations are completely subjective. However, there is a general public consensus that we'll see from multiple Top 100 lists. Averaging out these lists (from reputable sites) should be the benchmark for prospect value. These guys may not be the "experts" they claim to be, but they do know more than any of us. You could be right, and both Bird and Blackburn could eventually be worth more than Rodon. That doesn't mean you didn't overpay for them at their current value though.

I hate this trade for Boxy. Rodon is the kind of prospect who should be packaged with something else to land an MLB stud. There's only so many prospects that have that value. Boxy usually hates all my trades though so obviously our strategies are different.
