Anthony Rendon (knee) will be shut down indefinitely after being diagnosed with a left oblique strain.
It's been a nightmarish start to the season for Rendon, who has been out all year with a left MCL sprain and now a strained oblique. The Nationals aren't sure how serious the oblique strain is at this point but hope to know more after the infielder is examined further on Tuesday. It's probably a safe bet that we won't see Rendon this month.
