  1. The rule is that if they are 23 or older when they sign, they are waiver draft eligible (since they are not subject to international spending restrictions). I just went over this with njh as I was wondering the same. That's why Loudres in particular is elgibile. Norge Ruiz for example signed at 22, so he isn't eligible.
  2. Dahl, Santana, Torres.. it ain't even fair. I assumed you had a barren farm with all that MLB talent, but here you are with some young studs ready to go.
  3. Lol I just noticed this in the docs "The commissioners may place players subject to The Jake Lamb Rule on waivers" Why is it called the Jake Lamb rule?
  4. To hurl: 17 waiver To me: 41 MiLB + 90 Waiver
  5. If anyone has an abundance of MiLB picks, I will trade my 1st rounder waiver pick for a 2nd round MiLB pick.
  6. Keeping: C - Tom Murphy 1B - Brandon Belt 2B - Ian Kinsler SS - Jean Segura 3B - Jake Lamb CF - Mike Trout OF - Hunter Pence OF - Shin Soo Choo UTIL - Victor Martinez BN: Nick Castellanos BN: Jayson Werth SP - Clayton Kershaw SP - Justin Verlander SP - Masahiro Tanaka SP - Jordan Zimmermann SP - Luis Severino SP - Ervin Santana RP - Mark Melancon RP - Jeurys Familia RP - Shawn Kelley Cutting: Joe Blanton Tyler Clippard Chris Young Bryan Morris Pat Neshek Will still move Werth for a 3rd.
  7. Deciding between two dudes for my last keeper spot and then I'll post cuts. Just a reminder that I'll move Werth for a 3rd round MiLB pick if anyones interested.
  8. Mixed feelings as you just bashed and praised two of my prospects in the same post. Somehow I only wind up with pitching and 1B prospects.
  9. Z3r0s has put together a great offense with some nice young front end SP. I believe he still has a good farm too? Its cool seeing teams that were poor for a while transition into the next wave of perrenial competitors. Then seeing perrenial competitors like me transition into s*** in two years
  10. Will also move Cesar Hernandez for a 3rd round pick if anyone wants a 26 year old 2B with a .760 OPS last year!
  11. If anyone wants to take a flyer on Jayson Werth, he is available for a pick. Should still give a decent season batting 6th in the Nats lineup. EDIT: I have some interest here, so I'll move him for the best pick I get. If someone can move a pick in the 40-60 range for him, I'll accept the first offer in that range that I get.
  12. Possibly one of the best one letter typos of all time.
  13. Gibbers' teams are the equivalent of when you want to blow a really, really good load. You slowly build it up, being very disciplined, and just when the team is about to explode, you pull back the reins and trade your entire team for picks and prospects. You repeat this process for 20 years. After 20 seasons of building it up, trading it all, building it up, trading it all.. when you finally let loose, go for it all, and capture that championship after so many years of pain and misery...... dear god, someone get the man a box of kleenex.
  14. Sorry guys, I'm a little late to the party.. If 42 year old Billy Koch came out of retirement and was added by you, he would be the second best option in your pen. EDIT: Oh Neris was traded? Nevermind then, Koch would clearly be your ace.
  15. As a fellow Trout owner, I just took a sip of water, strictly so I could dramatically spit it all out onto my computer screen.
  16. What did Trout go for in this league?
  17. I was going through some personal stuff and let JFaS know that if he had someone waiting to try and get into the league, they can have the spot. There's a big difference between managing a 30 team dynasty league and 6 keeper, no prospects.
  18. I feel like Gary Sanchez was one of the most moved prospects in our league. Nearly everyone had a share of him at one point. How did silvergun end up with him???
  19. Offer for future Coors catching sensation Tom Murphy??
  20. Anyone know why Joe Blanton randomly got deleted from Yahoo's database and no longer exists?
  21. As a former Blackmon owner, I approve!
  22. FWIW njh made a great point that changed my perspective on the situation. I was analyzing Ventura's value and felt 20b is fair value for what he's worth. However, in the past, we haven't handled compensation like that. If you're telling me hurl only got two prospects for Fernandez, and TCA receives 20b for Ventura, that would be ********. Relative to what Fernandez/Oscar received, I agree with KK that it's not fair to give anything more than a late pick. It also opens up a can of worms. How is it that much different if players suffer long term injuries that prevent them from ever playing again or playing at a diminished level? If a player took a line drive off his head and retired due to brain trauma, would we have compensation then? Based on past compensation, I think we should only provide compensation for losing elite franchise crippling assets. The whole point is to make sure teams aren't crippled by these unfortunate tragedies.
  23. A sandwich pick in between 20 and 21 seems fair to me. I just think of it in terms of what I would offer for Ventura. Out of curioisty, what did we comp for Jose Fernandez?
  24. Anything could happen today njh. Basically a coin flip at this point. Comes down to SLG, R, and H.
