Hopefullly this drives him in the OS. I saw enough this season to make me think he can be great.
  6. So I may have an upcoming jamb at 1B. I traded for Mauer and Singleton with the idea that I would use one at 1b and one at Util next year. I also have James Loney who is continuing to hit for good average and obp, and Jesus Montero who has finally started to find his stroke again down in AAA. I'm not in heart attack mode to trade any of these guys (with Singleton and Montero in the minors), but I thought I would put it out there in case anyone was looking for a 1B solution.
  7. With the 8th overall pick in the 2014 MLB draft the Colorado Rockies select Tyler Beede a right handed pitcher from Vanderbilt University. http://bigleaguefutures.net/1/wp-content/uploads/2013/11/tyler-beede-2013-dp.jpg The Rockies organization is very pleased to selected Tyler Beede with their 8th overall pick. Tyler offers a great combination of now stuff and upside, with a prototypical pitchers build to boot. His fastball sits in the low-mid 90's, bringing it up to 97 when he needs a little bit extra. He compliments that with a hammer curve in the low 80's and a changeup around the 80 mark that has great depth and separation from his fastball. By the time he is finished developing he could bring three plus offerings to the mound in Coors. Tyler has worked hard to improve his command this year, as evidenced by bringing his BB/9 down to 3.34 this season, while maintaining a K/9 north of 9. We believe that Tyler will move quickly through the minors and join the home grown rotation that we will need in the mile high city.
  8. I'll be ok with my staff being headlined with Tanaka, Yordano, and Bundy... with Paxton, Meyer, and Giolito backing them up. .
  9. Didn't get that you were all talking about the waiver draft.... I get it now
  10. Who are we talking about? I actually don't know.
  11. I don't mind if people think I'm doing that too haha
  12. I've I don't think thats a good idea
  13. boooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
  14. The universe wanted you in this division. Take it like that, makes you feel important
  15. Using a random number site, I choose Abomination.
  16. Is there a list of teams in the league so I can see who is left?
  17. Weeks went from being a consistently ok defender and pretty good batter to a marginal bat and a bad defender between 2011 and 2012. I'm not saying we trade anything useful for him. We could probably get him for virtually free depending on what kind of money we take on (may not even be the full amount) Change of scenery seems to be a thing. If you don't get the results, there is no buyout on the option.
  18. Yeah! I won!!
  19. I do like both picks, but both Beede and Jackson are solid pieces too. The good thing about that is we should see 2 players I would be happy to draft at 9 and 11. I also like Pentecost.
  20. I imagine Rickie Weeks is still available for very little. He hasn't hit much this year, but I would chalk that up to not playing consistently (almost at all). I still think that's the best answer at 2B. I'd have to think it would cost almost nothing and the reward is certainly there if things click. I guess AA doesn't like those low risk-high reward types.
  21. Didn't even know they are trying him in the BP. I guess that FIP number is just for his relief appearances? Interesting.
