getting slightly buzzed tonite for whatever reason... wanted to say this league is the best and thank you all for having me as part of it.
/SAP (not Spanish access, Ang isn't part of this league, no more sappiness)
part of the reason I like the separate prospect and waiver drafts. Gives lower ranked teams a chance to improve their depth pieces (early waiver picks) while still going for high end prospects (high waiver picks and MiLB picks)
to be fair I would have had a tough time rostering Santana. I am just missing a CF (until Myers is eligible) and SS because I traded Franklin. Figured he was a good shot at catching lightning in a bottle for a few months.
It truly is an odd way of thinking. What does being good at the game have to do with understanding the statistics of the game? That's not unlike saying baseball players understand the physics of the game better then the egg-head physicists... after all, they haven't played since they were 9! One doesn't have to do with the other.
Joba signs for 1M plus incentives. We certainly couldn't have used that arm in our pen . But god help us if we issue a contract that sees a player paid more if they perform well.

nah, I'm going to be carrying a lot of players forward (farm has performed quite well this year) so I'll probably be done after my 1st and 2nd round picks.
Would consider trading K-Rod or Hector RoNdon now that we are past the cut down. Looking to gauge what I could get for a return (not uber motivated, but curious)
After thinking about it, I'm in favour of keeping the draft as is. I think its more beneficial to the poor teams to have a opportunity at a high ceiling MiLB player and a recent import in the same draft year.
not sure I like it or not. Would certainly create a different dynamic with 'win now' teams going with MLBer early and rebuilding guys going prospects. I guess most 'win now' guys just trade their prospects anyway.
I do support (in either case) moving the prospect draft back so you know who signs and who doesn't (avoid Boxy carrying an unsigned player for a year). Would also give you a chance to see some of these guys play a bit of ball. Even if its SSS, its probably useful info given that we don't actually see these guys play.
