A game marked by great pitching and rain delays was scoreless entering the sixth inning, before Bisons' catcher Tony Sanchez launched a solo-shot to left, his first home run of the season. It would be the only run for either team, as both sides left a combined 30 men on base, with Norfolk stranding 25 baserunners. Chris Leroux started for Buffalo, and delivered five shutout frames, allowing just three hits and a walk, picking up five strikeouts. After making two relief appearances, Leroux returned to the rotation Saturday for the first time since April 28, picking up his first win of 2016. The Tides could not take advantage of a stellar star by Ariel Miranda, who pitched seven innings, struck out five, and allowed just two hits, no walks, and one earned run. Miranda was saddled with the tough-luck loss, his third defeat of the season. A threat of rain delayed the start of the game 50 minutes, until the contest finally got underway at 7:55 pm. Rain began to rain heavily when crew chief and home plate umpire Derek Mollica called for the tarp, resulting in a 33-minute delay. Both pitchers were perfect through the first three innings. Christian Walker doubled in the fourth to become the first baserunner for either side, however he was stranded on base. The Bisons' first baserunner came via a Jesus Montero double in the bottom half of the inning, though he too was left in scoring position. In the eighth, the Tides loaded the bases with no one out. Switch-pitcher Pat Venditte entered with runners on second and third, and though he hit Jimmy Paredes, he struck out two of the next three hitters to end the threat. Dustin Antolin made things interesting in the ninth, putting the tying and winning runs on base with singles by Sharlon Schoop and L.J. Hoes. Antolin got Christian Walker to fly out to right to end the game and secure his third save of the season. Drew Hutchison will start for the Bisons in the series finale on Sunday, with start time scheduled for 1:05 p.m. Lefty T.J. McFarland is set to take the mound for Norfolk. BISONS NOTES: After being optioned by the Blue Jays on Tuesday, reliever Ryan Tepera has rejoined the Bisons. Tepera has a 7.27 ERA in eight games with Buffalo this season. Fellow reliever Bo Schultz also joins the Herd for a rehab assignment. Shultz returns to the Herd after posting a 1.69 in 21 1/3 innings for Buffalo in 2015… Infielder Shane Opitz has been transferred to Double-A New Hampshire. Optiz went hitless in his only game with the Bisons in 2016… Dalton Pompey went hitless in four at bats on Saturday to snap his hitting streak at six games... Friday's game is the third shutout of the Bisons' road trip, and their third overall this season… The Herd now improves to 11-4 in games were Tony Sanchez is behind the plate… http://i.imgur.com/33jogOR.png http://i.imgur.com/Vp0r2UK.png http://i.imgur.com/5eGxH2C.png http://i.imgur.com/VTcO9A3.png http://i.imgur.com/H9GI1J5.png http://i.imgur.com/LozOuoP.png http://i.imgur.com/mVjQa5J.png http://i.imgur.com/FgYGGah.png NORWICH, CT - The New Hampshire Fisher Cats rode Rowdy Tellez's bat to a doubleheader sweep of the Hartford Yard Goats on Saturday, taking Game 1 4-2 and Game 2 1-0 at Senator Thomas J. Dodd Memorial Stadium in Norwich, Connecticut. Tellez drove in all five runs on the day for the Fisher Cats (17-17), who picked up their first road doubleheader sweep since they took two from the Connecticut Defenders at Dodd Stadium back in April of 2009. The Yard Goats (23-12) mustered only nine hits between the two games, and none off the Fisher Cats bullpen. New Hampshire has now won six straight for the first time since June 2014. The series is being played at Dodd Stadium in Norwich while construction continues on Dunkin Donuts Park in Hartford. New Hampshire opened the scoring in the first game in the top of the first inning. Roemon Fields singled off German Marquez (L, 3-2) to lead off the game, and stole second base. With one out, Dwight Smith, Jr. worked a walk, and Marquez balked to move the runners to second and third. Tellez sliced a double to right field, plating both runners and putting New Hampshire ahead 2-0. Hartford got on the board in the bottom of the third against Fisher Cats starter Casey Lawrence (W, 1-2). Correlle Prime singled with one out, and moved to second when Jon Berti made an error at third base on Raimel Tapia's grounder. David Dahl looped a single to left, bringing home Prime and cutting the Fisher Cats' lead to 2-1. The Fisher Cats extended the lead in the top of the fifth, as Smith cracked a double up the right field line with two outs. Tellez hammered a hanging curveball from Marquez over the right field wall for a two-run blast. It was his sixth homer of the season, and it gave New Hampshire a 4-1 edge. The Yard Goats got a run back in the bottom of the fifth. Jan Vazquez led off with a walk, and came in to score on a double by Prime. Juan Ciriaco singled, but was doubled off on a line-out by Raimel Tapia, and Lawrence got Dahl to ground out to end the inning, with New Hampshire still leading 4-2. The bullpen held strong, though, closing out the game with two shutout innings to preserve the victory. Lawrence earned the win, throwing five strong innings with two runs allowed (one earned) on five hits and a walk, fanning three. John Stilson gave up a walk and fanned two in a scoreless inning of relief to earn his second save. Wil Browning worked around two walks to turn in a shutout frame of relief for his seventh save. In the nightcap, both teams were scoreless until the top of the fourth. With one out and Matt Dean on first base, Tellez smashed a double off the left-center field fence against Tyler Anderson (L, 0-1), bringing Dean home for the game's first run and giving New Hampshire a 1-0 lead. The pitching made it stand up, with Luis Santos (W, 4-0) earning the win with six shutout innings of four-hit baseball and six strikeouts. Murphy Smith fired a perfect inning to record his first save. The Fisher Cats will go for the sweep Sunday afternoon, with righty Jeremy Gabryszwski getting the start for New Hampshire against Hartford southpaw Harrison Musgraves. First pitch is scheduled for 1:35 p.m., and Ben Gellman has the call starting at 1:15 p.m. on the Fisher Cats Radio Network. http://i.imgur.com/HQ75Prh.png http://i.imgur.com/m3DjsAA.png http://i.imgur.com/PuWxcCH.png DUNEDIN, FL - On a night where the stands were filled up with canines, it was RHP Brandon Woodruff (4-1) who K'ed 10, tying a career best and helping the Brevard County Manatees (12-24) beat the Dunedin Blue Jays (15-21) on Saturday night. Woodruff and Jays' starter RHP Justin Shafer each got through six innings allowing just two hits without a run. 1B Ryan McBroom ended Woodruff's night on a sour note when he hit a two-run home run in the seventh, but the Manatees four-run top half was enough to give them a 7-2 victory in the end. The Manatees got to LHP Aaron Loup (L, 0-1) in the seventh who was making a rehab start for Dunedin. Loup allowed a pair of base hits and a pair of walks while recording one out. DH Fidel Pena's RBI-single started the scoring. Pena collected run-scoring singles in the seventh, eighth and ninth innings to help Brevard County. LHP Matt Dermody relieved Loup and promptly gave up a two-run double to LF Brandon Diaz, making it a 3-0 game. Shafer's outing tied the longest of the year for Dunedin pitching. His six innings were quick and efficient in his second start since coming off the DL. He has now allowed two hits over his last 10.1 frames. RHP Adonys Cardona allowed his first runs of the year in the eighth, snapping a 12.1 inning scoreless streak. The final game of this series is Sunday at 1:00 pm. Dunedin looks to even the series at two with RHP Conner Greene on the mound. He'll face off against LHP Kodi Medeiros for Brevard. http://i.imgur.com/BduYhAV.png http://i.imgur.com/OE5srMf.png http://i.imgur.com/oMgaHZU.png LANSING, Mich. - The South Bend Cubs (21-13) collected 14 hits, 13 of them singles, and defeated the Lansing Lugnuts (17-16), 6-2 on Saturday night at Cooley Law School Stadium. After losing the opener, South Bend has won two consecutive games in the four-game series. The piranha offense - many small bites, rather than one large blow - ate up Lugnuts starter Sean Reid-Foley (Loss, 2-2), who allowed nine singles in 3 2/3 innings, including six singles and five runs in a fourth inning that swung the momentum of the game. South Bend starter Preston Morrison (Win, 2-2) gave up a run-scoring wild pitch and an Andrew Guillotte RBI double, both in the sixth inning, but otherwise held the Lugnuts at bay in 5 1/3 frames. The Lugs didn't help their own cause, going 0-for-14 with runners in scoring position. In defeat, Max Pentecost went 1-for-4 with a single; Dusty Isaacs struck out five batters in two scoreless innings; and Patrick Murphy, the Blue Jays' third-round selection in 2013, made his return to the mound for the first time in 17 months. Working at 93-95 miles-per-hour, Murphy allowed an unearned run in the sixth before escaping a bases-loaded jam in the seventh. He finished both innings with strikeouts. The series finale is scheduled for 2:05 p.m. Sunday, a Kids Day presented by Delta Dental celebrating Captain America! The first 300 kids in attendance will receive special Captain America comic books. Plus, play catch on the field between 1:00 and 1:30, and Kids Run the Bases after the game! Lansing right-hander Ryan Cook (0-4, 5.83) starts against South Bend left-hander Ryan Kellogg (2-3, 3.38). Kings 3 Stars of the Night 1) Rowdy Tellez: Tellez went 4/6 on the doubleheader day, with a home run, double, and also a walk. 2) Dusty Isaacs: The Lugnuts reliever was dominant tonight, striking out 5 batters in just 2 innings. 3) Patrick Murphy: Murphy was not great on Saturday night, but it was his first outing since 2014, and just the 2nd of his professional career. The 83rd overall pick way back in 2013 has had his career derailed by injuries (mind you - the jays drafted him knowing the injury risks), so it's nice to see him pitching again. Jesse G-S @jgoldstrass 3h3 hours ago Working 93-95 mph, Patrick Murphy allows a run in the 6th inning before stranding two runners. He was the Blue Jays' 3rd round pick in 2013. Kings Platinum Arencibia: 1) Richard Urena: Urena had a night to forget, going 0/4 with 4 strikeouts and a fielding error, his 10th error of the season. honourable mention Aaron Loup

In the opener of a three game set from Harbor Park in Norfolk, the Bisons were held scoreless for the first seven innings. Down 5-1 after the eighth inning, Buffalo loaded the bases against reliever Oliver Drake in the top of the ninth. The Herd then cut the deficit to 5-2, thanks to a Dalton Pompey infield RBI single. However, reliever Richard Rodriguez struck out Darrell Ceciliani looking to end the game. Bisons' starter Roberto Hernandez came into Friday's game having only allowed three earned runs in three previous starts. However, he ran into trouble in the third inning. Down 1-0 after a second inning RBI single by Audry Perez, Christian Walker plated L.J. Hoes with a RBI double. Jimmy Paredes and Dariel Alvarez each drove in runs in the inning as well. Alvarez went 3-3 with three doubles and two RBI in the contest. Andy Oliver delivered four spotless innings in the start for Norfolk. Oliver, in his second start of the year, allowed just one baserunner, a double to Domonic Brown in the fourth. The left-hander has appeared in 10 games in 2016, mostly in relief, and lowers his ERA to 1.14. Oliver was relieved by Zach Phillips, and the Herd looked to finally get on the scoreboard in the fifth, loading the bases with two outs. Dalton Pompey lined a hot-shot back to the mound, which Phillips caught to end the threat. Phillips, along with relievers Chaz Roe and Pedro Beato, retired nine straight Buffalo batters from the fifth through the eighth innings. The Bisons did finally enter the run column in the eighth. With Beato on the mound, Dalton Pompey reached second on a double, and Darrell Ceciliani slapped a single to right field. Right fielder Dariel Alvarez threw home, but catcher Audry Perez couldn't handle the throw, allowing Pompey to score on the error. Game two of the three game series between the Bisons and the Tides is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. on Saturday, with Chris Leroux taking the mound for the Herd against Ariel Miranda. BISONS NOTES: While he did not start the game, Junior Lake's pinch-hitting appearance in the ninth was his 35th game of the year, allowing him to remain the only player to appear in every Bisons' game this year… Roberto Hernandez was removed after five innings of work. He has yet to pitch more than 5 2/3 innings in any of his four starts this season… With his infield single in the fifth inning, Alexi Casilla now has a hit in eight of his last 10 ballgames, and is riding a four game hitting streak. .. http://i.imgur.com/77QMEIV.png http://i.imgur.com/f9X9nYj.png http://i.imgur.com/fqWCKg2.png http://i.imgur.com/hgHoGaa.png http://i.imgur.com/1Xmnuhe.png http://i.imgur.com/9pDvACU.png http://i.imgur.com/HiaLPrl.png http://i.imgur.com/RropjNE.png http://i.imgur.com/dtkatm1.png http://i.imgur.com/lE2mNSV.png http://i.imgur.com/ZmZ6pVO.png http://i.imgur.com/Dk85NXV.png LANSING, Mich. - After six innings, the Lansing Lugnuts were sailing right along with a 2-1 lead over the South Bend Cubs. Then Friday the 13th struck, and the Lugnuts' fate was sealed. The Lugnuts (17-15) allowed 14 runs in the final three innings, falling to the Cubs (20-13), 15-2, in the second game of a four-game series at Cooley Law School Stadium. Wearing uniform #13, reliever Josh DeGraaf (Blown Save, 3; Loss, 2-3) allowed four runs in the seventh inning, two earned, with a crucial two-run triple by Donnie Dewees breaking a 2-2 tie. It was the start of a massive finish to the game for Dewees, who knocked a two-run single amid an eight-run eighth inning, and then drove a two-run double in the ninth off infielder-turned-emergency-reliever Aaron Attaway to close out the scoring. The Cubs' leadoff man closed the night with a 4-for-6 showing, supplying two runs scored and six runs batted in. South Bend's #13, shortstop Bryant Flete, helped the Lugnuts score their only two runs of the game. With the Cubs leading 1-0 in the third inning, Flete made the ill-advised decision to throw to third base on a Ryan Hissey grounder, unsuccessfully attempting to put out lead runner Juan Kelly. Hissey and Kelly followed with a double steal, with Kelly swiping home to tie the game. Carl Wise then singled in Hissey, giving the Lugnuts a lead they would maintain for a while - but not for good. Every member of the South Bend order scored at least one run in the game, with both Flete and Sutton Whiting tallying three runs. Cubs starter Adbert Alzolay (Win, 4-0) posted six innings, allowing two runs on five hits and three walks and didn't record a strikeout. Casey Bloomquist (Save, 3) tossed the next three innings in perfect, impressive fashion, striking out seven Lugnuts. The late explosion overshadowed a fine Midwest League debut for Lansing starter Ryan Borucki, the Blue Jays' #12 prospect according to MLB Pipeline and #14 according to Baseball America. Borucki tossed five innings, allowing three hits, one walk and one run, striking out five. Fellow top prospect Max Pentecost went 2-for-4 with two singles in his second game with the Lugnuts. Pentecost is 5-for-8 in his first two games in 16 months. The Lugnuts and Cubs play the third game of their four-game series at 7:05 p.m. Saturday, with Lansing right-hander Sean Reid-Foley (2-1, 1.66) opposing South Bend right-hander Preston Morrison (1-2, 4.50) and LAFCU Fireworks following the game. To purchase tickets or for more information, stop by the Cooley Law School Stadium box office, call (517) 485-4500 or visit lansinglugnuts.com. Kings 3 Stars of the Night 1) Devon Travis: Travis made his first appearance since July 28th, 2015, going 1/4 with a double while playing 2B. He played 7 innings in his return. 2) Ryan Borucki: Borucki made his Lansing debut after getting destroyed in Dunedin to start the year (20IP 42H 32ER 10HR 12BB 10K - 10.52 FIP). He went 5 strong innings, allowing 3 hits, 1 earned run while walking just 1 and striking out 5. 3) Aaron Attaway: The 24 year old Lansing infielder, who has struggled to hit this season, came out of the bullpen to put out the fire after Gustavo Pierre and Dan Lietz couldn't make an out. Attaway wasn't spectacular, going 1 inning giving up 2 earned runs and walking 2, but he got the job done. Attaway Kid........ Kings Platinum Arencibia 1) Gustavo Pierre and Daniel Lietz: The duo combined to go 1IP 5H 8ER 3BB 0K, with 2 wild pitches and a balk out of the bullpen for Lansing. Pierre was previously in the organization as a strong armed, but inaccurate throwing 3B, and was traded to the Phillies for John Mayberry Jr. back in 2014. The Jays later reacquired him and turned him into a pitcher. http://i.imgur.com/fG1eGre.png

HELIUM Francisco Rios, rhp, Blue Jays. At last year’s trade deadline, the Blue Jays used just about every pitching prospect they had to boost their team into the postseason for the first time since winning the World Series in 1993. When it was all said and done, Miguel Castro, Jesus Tinoco, Jeff Hoffman, Daniel Norris, Jairo Labourt, Matt Boyd, Alberto Tirado and Jimmy Cordero were gone from the system, leaving righthander Conner Greene as the organization’s top pitching prospect. Fellow righties Sean Reid-Foley, Jon Harris and Justin Maese joined Greene in Toronto’s Top 10 Prospects as well. Now, it appears there’s more pitching talent bubbling at the lower levels. Rios started the year at low Class A Lansing, where he went 2-0, 1.20 with just 21 hits allowed in 30 innings. He struck out 43 and walked eight in that span. The hot start earned him a promotion to high Class A Dunedin, and he debuted at the level on Thursday against Clearwater. Rios wasn’t dominant against the Threshers, but fanned six in 5 1/3 innings. A scout who saw a recent start of Rios’ confirmed that the stuff matched the numbers. The 20-year-old whom the Jays signed out of Mexico in 2012 started his arsenal with a fastball with late life in the 92-94 mph range. He backed it up with a well above-average curveball that held a tight fastball line and a below-average changeup that he nonetheless threw with the same arm speed as his fastball. Another evaluator who saw him called the repertoire “TV stuff in the making.” Rios needs to work on commanding the ball lower in the zone and sharpening his changeup, but he has the makings of a legit pitching prospect to help restock the Blue Jays’ cupboard. http://i.imgur.com/bF5yM58.png http://i.imgur.com/4uC2Sut.png http://i.imgur.com/IWluZhk.png http://i.imgur.com/nM8KPWT.png Wade LeBlanc came in to Thursday's game at Durham Bulls Athletic Field leading the Bisons staff in both wins and ERA and managed to improve in both categories despite what appeared to be a frustrating afternoon. The lowest scoring team in the International League had hits in all but one inning against the Bisons' starter, yet ended up leaving a grand total of 11 men on base as Buffalo came away with the 3-0 victory in the series finale. LeBlanc was seen pounding both his glove and the ground at various times as the Bulls managed to find holes between fielders for nine hits off the lefty in 6.1 innings. However, as agitated as LeBlanc seemed at times at allowing the most hits in any start of his season, he buckled down to prevent any Bulls from touching home. With a gutsy, six-strikeout effort, the 31-year-old boosted his record to 4-1 while lowering his ERA to a meager 1.88. Ben Rowen came on for LeBlanc with two on in the bottom of the seventh and punched out back-to-back batters to end the frame. The submariner kept the Bulls off the board again in the eighth before making way for David Aardsma in the ninth. Buffalo's closer fired a 1-2-3 final frame to earn his team-leading fifth save. The Bisons' staff has now allowed a meager three earned runs over their last six games. Austin Pruitt pitched well for the Bulls but fell victim to a pair of unearned runs as he saw the Herd cross home three times in his six innings of work. The thin Texan fanned four batters without issuing a walk and allowed six hits. After Pruit retired the first six batters he faced, Buffalo got to Durham's starter in the third. Jio Mier doubled to the wall in left-center field with a liner and then scored on Dalton Pompey's single into right. Mier was the lone member of the Herd to reach base more than once. In fact, the shortstop did so in all three of his plate appearances, going 2-for-2 with a walk. The Bisons tagged on a couple of unearned runs in the sixth. Mier led off the frame with a single and moved to third on base hit from Darrell Ceciliani. Jesus Montero then ripped a ball at Nick Franklin who bobbled the hot shot. The second baseman's error allowed Mier to score and extended the inning. Casey Kotchman followed up with a lined single to right which was deep enough to bring home Ceciliani without a throw. With the victory, Buffalo takes the four-game set, 3-1, giving the Herd just its second series win in Durham in the last eight seasons. The Bisons now head to Harbor Park for their first date of 2016 with the Norfolk Tides on Friday. BISONS NOTES: Wade LeBlanc has struck out at least six batters in his last six starts…Dalton Pompey is now riding a five-game hit streak…Activated on Wednesday after a month on the disabled list, Darrell Ceciliani started in centerfield and went 1-for-4 at the plate…David Adams did not see any playing time in Durham but continues to hold the fourth-longest active hit streak in the IL at 10 games. http://i.imgur.com/f7k4nKA.png http://i.imgur.com/RUKydeW.png http://i.imgur.com/BBgXSp7.png http://i.imgur.com/AwUAPaf.png NORWICH, CT - The New Hampshire Fisher Cats rode a streak of singles starting off the sixth inning to a comeback 5-3 win Thursday night over the Hartford Yard Goats at Senator Thomas J. Dodd Stadium in Norwich, Connecticut. The Fisher Cats (15-17) picked up their season-best fourth consecutive victory, and sixth in their last seven games. The Yard Goats (23-10) squandered an early three-run lead, allowing New Hampshire to claw back from the deficit to grab the lead and the win. The series is being played at Dodd Stadium in Norwich while construction continues on Dunkin Donuts Park in Hartford. The Yard Goats opened the scoring in the bottom of the first against Fisher Cats starter John Anderson (W, 2-3). Raimel Tapia led off with a single, and moved to second on a walk for David Dahl. Pat Valaika bunted the runners to second and third, and Rosell Herrera grounded out to second, bringing home Tapia and moving Dahl to third. Dillon Thomas sliced a double up the left field line to score Dahl before stealing third, and coming in on a grounder to the mound by Corelle Prime that Anderson booted to make it 3-0 Hartford. New Hampshire didn't score until the top of the fifth inning against Hartford starting pitcher Carlos Hernandez (L, 2-3). Rowdy Tellez turned on a 1-1 fastball and smoked it over the right-field fence for a solo homer, his fifth jack of the season, to cut the lead to 3-1. That set the stage for a big inning in the sixth for New Hampshire. The Fisher Cats got consecutive bunt singles from Jorge Flores and Roemon Fields to lead off the sixth, and Jon Berti singled to the outfield to load the bases for Dwight Smith, Jr. Smith cracked his own single up the middle, scoring Flores and keeping the bases loaded. Matt Dean laced his own single to left field to plate Fields and tie the game at 3-3, chasing Hernandez. Reliever Luis Niebla fanned Tellez, but Suez lofted a sacrifice fly to left field to score Berti and give New Hampshire the 4-3 lead. The Fisher Cats added an insurance run in the top of the ninth against reliever Johendi Jiminian. Flores drew a two-out walk, and Fields singled him to second before Berti sliced a single to center, scoring Flores to extend the New Hampshire lead to 5-3 before Wil Browning (S, 6) locked the ninth down to secure the victory. Anderson threw six strong innings for the Fisher Cats, allowing three runs (two earned) on five hits and two walks while fanning four to earn the victory. Chris Smith pitched a perfect inning with three strikeouts. Danny Barnes whiffed one and gave up a hit in a scoreless frame of relief. Browning pitched a perfect ninth inning to secure his sixth save of the season. The Fisher Cats will go for their fifth straight win Friday evening at Dodd Stadium, with righty Casey Lawrence starting for New Hampshire against Hartford righty German Marquez, the reigning Eastern League Pitcher of the Week. First pitch is at 6:05 p.m., and Ben Gellman has the call on the Fisher Cats Radio Network starting at 5:45 p.m. http://i.imgur.com/WJDR2Nv.png http://i.imgur.com/etH6gGR.png http://i.imgur.com/jdIGpFS.png http://i.imgur.com/UkpIXVZ.png CLEARWATER, FL - RHP Francisco Rios (L, 0-1) struck out six over 5.1 innings, taking the loss in his Florida State League debut in Clearwater. The Threshers scored a run in each of the first three innings which would be enough for a 5-2 victory. Rios was solid in his efforts, inducing several swings and misses, but the leadoff runner reached base and scored in four of the six innings he started. Dunedin clawed back in the fourth to make it a 3-2 game. 2B Dickie Joe Thon lifted a sacrifice fly to right filed for the Jays' first run, and DH Emilio Guerrero came home on a LHP Matt Imhof (W, 4-1) throwing error on a pickoff play. Imhof went the necessary five innings, allowing the two runs in the fourth while striking out four to earn his fourth win. LHP Mario Hollands set down all six batters he faced in his second Major League rehab start. RHP Alexis Rivero (S, 3) notched his third save of the year in the ninth. Clearwater added two more in the sixth inning when RF Cord Sandberg roped a two-RBI triple down the right field line off of RHP Jackson Lowery. In his FSL debut in 2016, Lowery allowed just the one hit over 2.2 innings, fanning one. Dunedin begins a four game set with a doubleheader Friday night against Brevard County. RHP Kyle Westwood will throw game one with all other pitchers TBA. First pitch is at 5:00 PM at Florida Auto Exchange Stadium. http://i.imgur.com/FWZXuQV.png http://i.imgur.com/AggQKwp.png http://i.imgur.com/MHhvwJB.png LANSING, Mich. - Max Pentecost starred in his first game in 16 months and Jon Harris combined with Angel Perdomo on a two-hit shutout, leading the Lansing Lugnuts (17-14) to a 5-0 victory over the South Bend Cubs (19-13) on Thursday night at Cooley Law School Stadium. Thanks to the trio of top Blue Jays prospects, the Lugnuts ended a season-high four-game losing streak. The 11th overall pick in the 2014 draft, Pentecost had not played in a Minor League contest since August 7th, 2014. He wasted no time in making his presence felt, cracking a first-pitch RBI single in the first inning off South Bend starter Kyle Twomey (Loss, 0-3) to open the scoring. The ball was misplayed by right fielder Eddy Julio Martinez, allowing a second run to score. The former Kennesaw State Owl increased the Lugnuts' lead to 3-0 in the third inning, crushing his first professional home run to right-center. Four batters later, Josh Almonte hooked a two-run double down the left field line. Pentecost grounded to shortstop in the fourth before finishing a 3-for-4 evening by lining a single to left field in the seventh. By then, the Lugnuts' talented pitching duo had things well in hand. Harris (Win, 2-0) - the Blue Jays' 2015 first-round selection - allowed two singles and two walks, striking out two, in five scoreless innings. He was succeeded by Perdomo (Save, 1), who dazzled with seven strikeouts in four scoreless innings, allowing only a two-out walk in the sixth. It was the Lugnuts' sixth shutout of the year, second best in the Midwest League. Lansing and South Bend play the second game of their four-game series on Friday the 13th at 7:05 p.m. Don't get triskaidekaphobic on us! Left-hander Ryan Borucki makes his Lugnuts debut against South Bend right-hander Adbert Alzolay (3-0, 2.30). Kings 3 Stars of the Day 1) Max Pentecost: Pentecost made his return from the DL in Lansing (1st appearance since August 7th, 2014) in stylish fashion going 3/4 with his first professional home run and 2 singles. 2) Angel Perdomo: The hard throwing LHP bounced back well from his last outing, where he did not make it out of the 1st inning, throwing 4 innings of no hit ball with 1 walk and 7 strikeouts. 3) Jon Harris: Harris went 5 innings with 2 hits allowed, no earned runs, 2 walks and 2 strikeouts, to extend his scoreless inning streak up to 18 innings (18IP, 14H, 0ER, 6BB, 10K in that span). Kings "Platinum Arencibia" 1) Matt Dominguez: 0/3 with a throwing error and HBP. Not really. His stuff isn't very good, especially for a RHP. He's more of a pitchability guy right now. Sinker sits around 90 with movement, and if he can locate it that can play in the middle levels of the minor leagues. Doesn't get groundballs at a very great rate (41.9% this year, league average is 44 in the Eastern league) or really have a "swing and miss" pitch (7.1 SwStr% this season). Maybe he could be an up and down guy ala Chad Jenkins if his stuff can play up a tad out of the bullpen, but he's probably nothing.

welcome Mike!

So Perdomo is pretty good. 4IP 0H 0ER 1BB 7K That's a nice response to not getting out of the 1st inning his last time out.

Yikes.
