  1. Still not sold on Francisco's ability to hit LHP over the course of a season, but he's doing ok right now. Just gotta keep playing him while he's producing. A nice pick up by AA though. His power was worth the gamble (not really much of a gamble - he was low risk/high reward all along)
  2. That's exactly what little Hitlers like you love to do. To silence dissent, whether it's regarding sports or something else. Go ahead, ban me... For what I don't know
  3. You're just a dummy, who guarantee beyond the nerd stats, doesn't know jack about the real world.
  4. Again, same could be said about you advance statistics nerds, who criticize those who don't study the #'s 24/7, and then act like you're also a master at world events, when you don't know jack. Goes both ways stache.
  5. Guess the same could be said about the elitists on this board, who look down at those who don't know every advanced stat in the book. There even needs to be warnings to those posters, just so they don't scare any newcomers to this board. Lol THAT to me is sad.
  6. Making $ while doing this research, is one thing... If you're not actually making money while studying these numbers, it's kinda sad. I guess I'm not surprised though. Just one of the many reasons why there's so many clueless people in the world, who have no idea what's going on around them.
  7. And I was criticized for saying leave Stroman in. Yesterday would have been Stroman's start day. Keep someone warm just in case, but I see no reason why he couldn't preserve a 5 run lead. This BP is gassed.
  8. Why take him out? Make him go the 2 innings. f***ing retarded.
  9. http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=eLjedRwQAfE
  10. If ya smellllllllllllllllllll la la la la laow... what the Rock... is cookin
  11. Morrow to DL? No way! I fully expected him to pitch 200+ innings this year! - Said no one ever... except our moronic GM.
  12. Who was Gibbons going to go to there? Redmond? Happ? I mean I haven't been a fan of the job Gibbons has done since returning, but that's a bit over the top. The real argument is whether or not Santos starts producing the results that all the stat geeks predict. I think everyone sees the ERA going south of 10, but is he "elite"? It's not as clear cut as some here are obnoxiously saying.
  13. Mind if I ask what this $500 bet was over? Lol
  14. Oh my scrotum is there, I can assure you of that... And if there's a future thing we have a huge disagreement on, I'll throw down $20, and you can bet I'd send it to your PayPal instantly if I lost.
  15. Ah you returned after going ape s*** after I said AA wouldn't sign anyone haha And he's walked a batter per inning, but those K's!
  16. It's like there's no balance in your approach. You're so invested in these numbers that the end result doesn't even matter to you. It's always "what really should of happened", instead of what actually happened. Again, I understand the jist of the stats, and I understand Santos will almost definitely start pitching better than he has, but coming off an outing which he gave up 2 rockets off the bat, and defending the man, saying "ERA in 10 innings haha", yet giving us the advanced stats in an outing of 2/3 innings is kinda laughable, don't you think? A bit of realism on your end would be nice.
  17. The advanced stat crew also predicted Morrow to be an ace. Still waiting on that. Guess he's just had bad luck all this time. Again, not denying these stats have meaning because I know they do, but maybe JUST f***ING MAYBE they aren't always infallible.
  18. It's just comical to watch otherwise good posters defend Santos so far. Nobody is expecting him to keep a 10 ERA... Nobody f***ing said that, but to defend the mans last 3 or 4 outings as 100% poor luck is some of the dumbest s*** I've ever heard. Watch the walk off again last night. Tell me that meatball wasn't a pitch most major leaguers wouldn't deposit over the wall. The guy has just done a piss poor job since being a Jay. Future indicators or not, he's been bad. End of story. *Still waiting for his "old school stats" to approach his xFIP* EDIT
  19. Stat nerds are licking their chops, and are ready to feast on your flesh. Those 5 HR's were all luck damn it!
