    i guess that would depend on what time of prospects you could get in a deal for just Bautista. If the payroll was unlimited of course I'd say no but since we can assume that it's not and the return for Batista alone wasn't amazing then if have to say yes although it is a tougher decision. It still leaves you with a lineup up Travis Martin Donaldson Encaracion-DH Colabello-lf Smoak 1b Pillar Saunders/Carerra/Pompey/new 4th of guy Goins Def is improved and perhaps not a great offensive drop

    I'm trying real hard but I still can't forgive the Dickey deal.

    So over the Allstar break a team calls AA and says we need a SP and a backup catcher, we'd like Buehrle and Navarro. What would you like for them. AA says I'll give them to you for a bag of balls but you have to take Reyes too. I say make the deal if you're the Jays. Today is a perfect example why the jays will not back playoffs and there it zero sense in trading prospects to try and make it. Pitching and defense is just not good enough to contend this year.

    Not even Gibbons/Walkers fault right now. But a change is necessary none the less. AA needs to do something to save his job.

    I agree, no they aren't. That's the sad thing though, the Jays have no one to replace the. Hopefully they will be able to use the saving to bring in someone.

    the thing is barring major changes this team will be worse next year. for the 2016 season, Buehrle and Dickey will be gone. Bautista, Encarnacion, Reyes all a year older and increasingly injury prone. This team is unfortunately going down in a spiral that I don't see changing.

    They will need to send someone down when Izturis is ready as well, that or dfa Izturis

    Lind needed to go. We don't know what AA could have got or what was offered for Lind, but I'm sure he did his DD and got the best he could for Lind.
