  1. Don't forget to circle the babip, regression coming both ways!
  2. Basically need the offense to keep up their pace. Which honestly, outside of Edwin's month isn't really out of the question. Everyone else - excluding Francisco, who if played strictly platoon is still probably a .350-.360 wOBA bat - is playing within their realm of possibilities. So much fun to watch right now, just enjoying the ride
  3. Sigh...two more pitchers. I was really hoping Conforto would fall to us, looking unlikely at this point
  4. http://msn.foxsports.com/mlb/story/staying-the-course-paying-off-for-blue-jays-so-far-052814 Pitching numbers are a bit worrisome as that HR/9 in our launching pad is not sustainable (especially with the pitchers we have). However, the rest of the article is a good read (nothing we don't already know though). enjoy!
  5. Ben Revere hits first HR! Only took 1500+ PA
  6. Haha. No kidding eh? I thought McHugh was penciled into tomorrow, got lucky there. It appears I have dealt away some kind of ace, lol Also...I got one final parrot from Edwin
  7. Your insane offense was part of the reason behind my rebuild. My middle of the road current team wasn't going to beat you, so I'm hoping by the time some of my guys make an impact will be around the same time your studs are starting their decline
  8. Well if we're going deeper...I also have Rymer Liriano, Edwin Escobar, and Jesse Biddle to go with Russell, Gallo, Sano, Zimmer and Stephenson. They will all likely be top 100 prospects when the next lists come out. Ultimately, it's whoever your preference is...I think we easily have the top two farms
  9. Thanks. Ya, this was my first ever dynasty league, in year 1 I was still getting my feet wet with respect to values of the different variables (picks, prospects, production relative to age, regression etc). Also, North is a freak of nature when it comes to wheeling and dealing
  10. This is fun. 19. Addison Russell 22. Kyle Zimmer 59. Robert Stephenson 62. Rymer Liriano 99. Jesse Biddle 102. Lewis Brinson (traded to Silvergun in deal for Edwin) 7. Braden Shipley (traded in deal for Cashner) 34. Cody Reed 47. Aaron Judge 74. Jordan Paroubeck 87. Edwin Escobar 114. Jeimer Candelario Original draft looks pretty good at this point...(no busts yet!) Picked up a couple good talents in June draft (high on Escobar and Judge)
  11. e again: Didnt find it lol. So if anyone knows where to find results for last June's draft, that would be awesome
  12. I find the best way to find info on prospects is to search their name in twitter - usually beat reporters will have posted updates on their twitter account that doesn't get picked up by google for some reason. Adam Kilgore ‏@AdamKilgoreWP May 24 Lucas Giolito hasn't pitched since May 11. The Nats say he's fine, and they're just managing his innings. http://wapo.st/1nBLBEk
  13. I think we're seeing Pompey's floor with Anthony Gose right now.
  14. That fastball is hella explosive, fun to watch!
  15. Ya, as I said a bit earlier I didn't think I was a true contender this year so I wanted The Cat's Ass 1-2 year rebuild . I really only wanted positional studs. When trading a huge asset like Edwin I didn't want an arm that could potentially blow out any day. For everyone saying Gallo is risky, I thought that was even riskier. IMO Gallo will be universally known as a top 25 prospect and Sano already being top 5. Also, my farm seems to be perfectly built for a 2 year rebuild: Russell, Sano, Gallo, Zimmer, Stephenson, Rymer Liriano, Edwin Escobar and Jesse Biddle (All look to appear big league ready by 2016)
  16. LOL, I was like wtf...Had to read back a page
  17. Lol at the very least this will be something fun to watch over the next 12-18 months
  18. I don't think Alvarez is in the same power bracket as Gallo
  19. You really think that is best case scenario? Chris Davis at high A, 21 years old. 125 wRC+, 29% k rate, 5% walk rate. Joey Gallo at high A, 20 years old. 226 wRC+ (not a typo) 26% k rate, 20% walk rate.
  20. Hah. It's okay, everyone is entitled to their opinion. Both guys you gave me are going to be top 5 hitting prospects going into next season, so it's not bothering me any
  21. I was specifically looking for elite young hitters, I wouldn't have done that deal. Especially with Noah's elbow issues coming up
  22. Lol, crap? When was the last time someone destroyed high A the way he has at his age? Walk rate is also up to 20%
  23. Indeed. I'm treating him as a top 5 prospect, I have no reason to believe otherwise. My big league roster should have Bryce, Russell, Sano, Gallo by 2016. I like that core a lot. Also, didn't think I would be an elite contender in the next 2 years, so keeping Edwin didn't make sense for me. All along I wanted elite hitting prospects for him and I got two of my highest ranked, so I'm pretty happy with my return. Should be a win-win trade
  24. Hold onto your hats ladies and germs we have a blockbuster on our hands... To Silvergun: EE Collin McHugh Lewis Brinson To Speedy: Joey Gallo Miguel Cano Wil Middlebrooks Jacob deGrom Pick #54
