  1. Posted this before: Three fans are walking to Fenway Park for the Red Sox-Yankees playoff series, when they see a foot sticking out of some bushes. An inspection revealed a dead-drunk naked woman. One man placed his Orioles baseball cap on her right breast. The Red Sox fan placed his cap on her left breast, and the Yankee fan put his over her crotch. They then called the police. The cop lifted up the Orioles cap, and made a few notes. He then lifted the Red Sox cap and made more notes. Then he lifted the Yankees cap, put it down, lifted it again and put it down. When he lifted it the third time the Yankee fan said, ''What are you doing? Are you some kind of pervert, or what?'' The cop said, I was just confused, usually when I see a Yankee cap, there's an a**hole under it.''
  2. Jays in exploratory stage for Headley http://www.cbssports.com/mlb/writer/jon-heyman/24600231/considering-2b-blue-jays-eye-headley-but-so-far-not-murphy-or-weeks It's funny how during ST Gibbons and some players said that it was foolish for the Jays to try Lawrie at 2B in 2013. And now it seems we are going full steam ahead with Lawrie as our full time 2B. Make up your mind kids!
  3. I wouldn't include Lawrie and Bautista in that group since that injury happened recently. Besides, all those players got injured but we were pretty fortunate that many of them didn't happen all at once The Yankees got all the bad news for their rotation pretty much all at once and haven't had those 3 out at the same time for awhile
  4. What pisses me off is the Yankees have lost 3/5'th of their rotation and they are still 1.5 games out of 1st place. It's almost like 2013 all over again, where despite critical injuries they find a way to win. The Jays for the most part of the season have had their full 25 man roster and didn't take advantage of pulling away from the Yankees.
  5. You are rushing him. Just cause he has good numbers doesn't mean he has nothing to learn. For all we know, he's dominating because he's facing 3 weak teams or teams heavy with lefties. Or they are trying to adjust to a new player.
  6. I guess all that hubris about Tanaka's velocity being a concern doesn't matter
  7. pretty annoyed people are calling him a hot shot top prospect and phenom. He's +75 Yet another unnecessary hype train from the boston market. Not nearly as bad as the Yankee one, though.

  9. Happ's performance dispels the notion that Kratz made the difference. I still think Happ is going to eat s***. All you have to do is sit on his fastball. Chicago came in after an exhausting series in Baltimore. But I was surprised at the # of +96 mph fastballs in the 8th inning yesterday. Where was that when he was in the bullpen?
  10. old article on Pompey http://sports.nationalpost.com/2012/03/17/jays-prospect-thankful-for-fathers-persistence/ His dad is like Tony Rasmus
  11. It's Friday, you deserve a break. At work we get half-day on Fridays for the summer. But in honestly we just dick around in office because no one will get work done anyway.
  12. Uhh If we really want a defense only 2B, then why not bring up Goins... I'd go take a look at dealing for Beckham and Quintana.
  13. Pompey will be on fan590 in 10 minutes. I don't think Pompey/Gose should be in the same breath. I think Gose' chances of being a regular are over unless he fixes his swing very soon. He is still a great 4th outfielder. Pompey will be a regular.
  14. He's gonna be on the fan590 in 30 mins (11 am est)
  15. cause affirmative action
  16. Does anyone know of any fangraphs report or w/e that shows why Alvarez is dominating so much this year? Did he learn a new pitch or what? Or is the NL that bad that everyone is going after his sinker.
  17. print it out and try it tonight
  18. He's lost his control, but overall he seems to be an effective situational lefty. Can't do worse than Rasmussen
  19. chicago/baltimore game still going on. Let's hope Chicago enters Toronto tired and weary
