    Hutch was demoted not due to performance but due to the fact that he wouldn't be used at all here. Best to let him get his usual start in the minors. I'm disappointed that Thole is not up. Martin does not deserve any AB. He deserves a stint on the DL. edit: grammar

    If it were the 7th inning against 3 straight righties, I'd use Hendriks.

    I have no worries about our pen. It's good enough. When our long-man is good enough to be the 7th guy, you got a deep pen. We also have Delabar down in the minors as the 25th man if we need him. Next year though, we're f***ed. Lowe and Hawkins will go. Isn't Cecil a FA too? Then you have to ask if Osuna will be moved to the rotation along with Sanchez.

    Honestly I'd force Martin to the DL for 15 days just to get his hamstring/knuckles healed. Only reason why we can't do it cause Thole is injured.

    Everyone in baseball, from journalists to KC fans to even people on this board called them dumb for signing. They are very, very lucky he's been great this year. He was a 32 year old coming off an atrocious year and they gave him a 2 year deal. I'm surprised he didn't want a 1 year deal.

    I told you the offense was overachieving. Colabello, Smoak, Pillar, e.t.c. Doesn't help that Martin has turned to s*** and Revere decides he wants to be a 2 true outcome player (flyouts and strikeouts)

    Well gonna head down to the game now. Tanaka is going to be tough, and I'm still uneasy about every Estrada start. The good thing we have going for us is that Betances/Miller may not be unavailable, but we didn't exactly destroy the other Yankee relievers last week either... Offense has to step it up. Aside from that 10 run game we haven't had consistent scoring.

    I've been telling everyone the Yankees have the pitching to win it (they've been pitching well throughout this streak). The Jays possibly do have the pitching to match but they're not this good. I fully expect today and tomorrow to be low scoring games. I wouldn't be surprised if they won the series or swept us

    Price struggled the whole game. He shouldn't have pitched the 8th. We also had a rested BP. Sanchez, Lowe, Hawkins were all good bets to pitch the 8th.

    E5's finger injury may be a lingering injury guys. All it takes is one massive swing and he'll pop it again.

    Granted there weren't too many games with this line-up, but whenever you have Navarro/Smoak/Colabello hitting clean-up, you do it. I'd even do it if Martin were there, considering he's been sucking hard since start of August.

    @CharlesGattinBP If you don't count all the games the Jays won, they've lost 52 straight, which has got to be some kind of record.

    So uh its already mid August and Colabello's babip is still over 400 When is it going to drop? Guess it doesn't help that he's not a regular but more of platoon player now.
