Sorry, I should say JP heading to arbitration. Suggesting JP can hit anything (even arbitration) is likely a reportable offence.

Think about this to add to your pain - it's probably not that far of a reach to suggest JP and Lucroy will earn similar amounts over the next couple of years with JP and his dingerz hitting arbitration.

Yeah just looked up his contract. It's unreal, he should probably fire his agent haha. 3+ WAR guy and top pitch framer(whatever you want to value that at) at $3M per with a $5M option. Like you said, no way he gets moved unless its a crazy return.

No he won't be a superstar or anything. But I think he'll be a pretty reliable mid-rotation innings eater with potential for more than that. A 2-4 WAR SP logging big innings is a pretty nice asset. HR's were part of his problem here but in Miami that shouldn't be as big of a deal.

Henderson Alvarez is going to be (is?) a great pitcher in the NL, especially in that big park.

DBacks apparently willing to sell low on Kennedy and Kubel to clear salary. Kennedy's overrated and has been garbage this year mostly, but would anyone be interested on buying low on him? Controllable for a couple more years.

Marte's ~4 WAR or so to date has really helped the Pirates too. Also, how much would Russel Martin and his contract help out the Jays right now. Nope don't need him, we're set with JP!!

Yup. I love Casey but now is the time to trade him. We have a good deep pen and who knows when his arm might fall off again.

Overrated for sure. Good player, not a gold glover and not a superstar. Colby, underrated? underappreciated? neither?
