  1. Being serious. Doesn't mean much since it's all hypothetical
  2. I realize it. I also realize 21 teams passed on Trout so who knows what will happen down the road
  3. Tell me when you pass it
  4. Hopefully more like Felix...hard for a pitcher to get that high
  5. Not right now. Need to see Hoffman post TJ to be make an opinion one way or the other.
  6. It's cool. I really believe in Hoffman, so if people want to rag on me it's fine.
  7. As much as I can. Obviously mainly in college through highlights, game replays, etc. Lots of film was out there leading up to the draft last year.
  8. Great input...come back anytime
  9. It's cool, I know my opinion isn't well liked. From what I have seen of Hoffman I think he can be a star. I would definitely trade other people for the names mentioned
  10. Harper is Lawrie but more consistent with more power, I still think Stanton has been impacted by the HBP, and Cutch is enticing but I'd rather see Hoffman before I'd do that. Northof49- probably even though not sold on Richards this year yet. Lots of walks.
  11. In the other thread I was assuming Bryant was mainly a 3B that's also why I didn't like that idea, need to see him more at other positions. I would entertain Hoffman for Trout since Trout has proven himself over 3 seasons. We have a CF but Trout is wayyyyyy better. Then could possible trad Pompey+ for pitching Edit: Harper-No ;Stanton-wait and see, Cutch-Not right now
  12. Too many hypotheticals to keep track, plus some people were referencing the other thread. The premise is I wouldn't trade Hoffman for Bryant because i think Hoffman will help this team more than Bryant, especially if he comes close to his ceiling.
  13. Still don't think he should be traded until we see how he pans out.
  14. Can't make the playoffs having to win games 15-12
  15. I wouldn't trade Hoffman period...not for a few yrs at least
  16. You have to look at the team. Hoffman won't get Bryant anyways so it's a mute point. What is holding us back is not offense it's pitching, why trade what might be our best drafted pitcher in 15 yrs
  17. We have offense though, if you have to trade Hoffman do it for a pitcher like Cueto
  18. Hoffman will be the Ace of the staff maybe even next season...Bryant can play RF for us...I guess that could work since our RF has crapped the bed to start the year
  19. If it costs less than that there is no reason that it hasn't been done
  20. Castro, DJ Davis for Papelbon with them eating some money would be nice
  21. Or Cecil....or Estrada. He uses the season pitchers every game
  22. Maybe because he has pitched in 80% of the games...needs a few days off, same with Osuna
