    Not sure how Canadians define rednecks. In the US, I am far from a redneck but am a southerner.

    It's about as far from redneck/southern as it can be. Heck, it would be better if it was more redneck/southern. I'm from/still live in the U.S., its like the Canadian Anthem or the US anthem. You grow up hearing it all the time (especially at sporting events). It just becomes part of tradition.
