    Why is that...cause I have actually lived in the place in question and have a differing view. I could go into depth why crime rates are high, especially in large US cities, but many on here would not like to read this on a baseball forum.

    Crime stats just like baseball stats tell a story and have reasons for their value. Trust me, I'd feel safer walking down the street at night in Texas vs Toronto.
