    Congratulations to the 2016 Blue Jays Homerun Contest winner CANDY MALDONADO!!! He was atop the leader board for the majority of the season and had an amazing first half. Unfortunately, the only prize for you this year is the knowledge that you were the best. Maybe next year we can get some prizes involved to get more involvment. The top 3 for 2016 were: 1. Candy Maldonado 2. LetTheBallFly 3. Baseballsss Interestingly enough I believe this was the overall standings finish for this year as well. We had a lot of participation this year, even though a few posters completely disappeared from the board overall or for a time. Thanks to everyone who made picks, hopefully everyone enjoyed it and we can continue it next season and make it even better and bigger.

    I don't think that happens. Coaching has cost us a min or 10 games this year. The new front office has to recognize this and with the changing of the team's main players expected next year there should be no reason he comes back.

    What sucks is it might not have happened if we had a manager that knew how to use a bullpen. Using Osuna for 30 ish pitches last night was stupid. The offense needs to pick up the pitchers/ bullpen some. The bullpen can't be pitching in 1 runs every game because we can't score more than 1 or 2. They will blow a few and it keeps getting more pressure fueled from here.

    So 3 blown saves out of our last 4 games. Could have been on a 5 game win steak and almost had this locked up.

    They play the Braves for 3 games and we get Boston. Very possible we could miss the playoffs or be the 1st wildcard by a few games. We HAVE to win games.

    They seem to lose their approach after a few ABs.. about the 6th inning it all goes back. They had some good approaches recently but rarely keep it going all game.

    That's why Gibby is gone ubless we win it all...hurts the team in game on multiple levels.

    Would be interesting to know the % of blown saves when we score less than 4 runs....do we blow more more saves then or when we have scored a bunch of runs in a game...or is it totally random.

    Another s*** show by the offense blown by the bullpen that is way overworked in stressful innings the last 2 weeks. Same thing over and over

    Why was Osuna throwing cutters to 2nd batter of the inning. Not the time to be going with your 4th pitch. Terrible pitch selection

    Saw this in an article today: But one point Stroman did want to make perfectly clear. “Not once did I say ‘get the eff’ off the field.” Looks like Headley did make s*** up.

    Great comments from Stroman. Headley is being a baby. He doesn't know what Stroman is yelling and if he ever yelled get off the F'ing field after striking a guy out we would see and hear it. There would also be words exchanged at that moment. Headley is making probably making stuff up to cover the classless display by Severino charging the plate.

    I think you skip him regardless with how the rest of the pitchers are pitching. Get Sanchez ready for the Wild Card game.
