Agreed. Apparently he has tried at different times and it hasn't worked well so he sticks with the line drive approach. At 23 still plenty of time to work on it hopefully. Maybe next season he starts out with that mindset and it works
Yep. Which starts with getting back on balance and hitting the ball hard, which appears to be looking much more balanced tonight
Edit: 36th in Barrel% this year. Last year he was 15th. Once he gets it going this should normalize quicker imo
He will get it back. They know something has been causing him to be off and are working on it. Despite that he has 4 HRs this month, should have been 5
Good thing is, he isn't needed to be 2021 Vlad at this exact moment
If you want to skip go to the 1:10 mark. Hitting the ball and hitting line drives is all he is trying to do or will do. Not about launch angle. He is a hitter. Once he gets the line drives going the HRs will come
They talked today about him being off balanced. Correcting that is the first move. Then getting line drives
Collins will be hurting us, especially if the plan was to keep Kirk in his limited weekly catching duties. He shouldn't hit vs lefties and he isnt good defensively, maybe even as a pitch caller. Basically Moreno is needed more than it is gambling/showcasing imo
