    Vlad doesn’t seem to have that chip on the shoulder about being the best, like some of other stars. I think that’s fair to say from a distance at least. The next thing to consider is how much the mega contract will push him. I couldn’t speculate on his approach with that. Hopefully that pushes him into gear. I’ve always been a Vlad supporter and I’ll still never bet the Under with him, but I don’t think I sign him to an extension that’s not super team friendly, like 10/200 or something crazy like that

    I feel like the Jays in the national media were considered a dangerous WC team in 2020. Didn’t work out but I wouldn’t say it was a Marlins situation.

    I did not. Not due to a lack of effort. I lost my phone and it’s been a pain in the ass. Because I can’t do the 2 step with for Apple, I’m locked out of my Apple account for over a month lol.     They couldn’t hold a 10 run lead or whatever. Wasn’t a fluke. Most years the Jays Achilles heel from the season shows up in the playoffs

    The went with bats over corner D. I think KS was good last year with the bat when NC wasn’t. Roles reversed now, so good thing they had two options. In terms of Jays, if Varsho is so wonderful in CF, should be fine having a slugger RF that can hit. Hopefully they don’t try to just add WAR there with the glove. Another first round exit in that case the likely scenario

    I won’t say anything positive about a Turner rebound as I’m mulling putting an offer on him, but Casty isn’t a bad deal. He’s getting 3/50 say easy. I know you hate that FA salaries aren’t paid proportionally to WAR, but they’re not. Again, go do some homework and you’ll find offensive and defensive WAR are paid at different premiums
