  1. If you parlayed DET makes the playoffs and Toronto doesn’t, that’s probably some hefty odds
  2. We all know this would get me 2 weeks in the hole
  3. I’ll take my draft record against anyone’s for hits/misses
  4. One man’s nuisance is another man’s entertainment. Nothing wrong with a little spice. I’m sorry you guys are so vanilla. In terms of my team sucking, I will quote a scene from my favorite movie Braveheart and say “these were lies when you first wrote them”
  5. Essentially the emerging dynasty was taken away from blocking your path. But I won’t go as far as calling it an *, congrats

  7. It you were a company and offered a $5k sign on bonus to people that lasted past 60 days and you were genuinely trying to find people that lasted 60 day, what would you do with a s***** employee you’d been giving chances to, good guy, but really no place at the company. Worthless really. With a week to go you look and see if his bonus is coming up. Do you pay it?
  8. Every move they make is a slam dunk in your heart, Max. That’s what counts
  9. I tried a few times to get my hands on him. Numbers seem a lot more underwhelming more recently.
  10. Didn’t do well on the field either. KK, IKF, Jansen, Varsho. Whomp whomp
  11. If only all that War and a nickel got us a dime
  12. I actually don’t know how to craps and it’s a good thing because I don’t know how to do anything in moderation and luckily gambling never became a vice. But in terms of a roulette wheel, you have 38 numbers and even if you put money on 19 of them, you’ve increased your odds significantly, but still a “crapshoot”.. Losing Bradish obviously hurts them. Grayson being a total wildcard also doesn’t help. They aren’t looking sexy for sure with the bats. I’ve rode the Santander train many times over the years in fantasy and it was not good more than good. They made it though. They have a lot of solid pieces and still a couple pieces that could be franchise players. A much rosier outlook than the Jays for now
  13. are the playoffs a total crapshoot? Or not? You people need to decide and keep to the same narrative. As for JH, we’ve seen a ton on #1-5 can’t misses struggle, and at least not live up to the hype. BAL really not outlier there. Obviously his story far from settled

One guy I root against now in Baker Mayfield. Like not trying to say a player can’t be confident but he thinks he’s this elite hot s*** now. He’s still middle of the pack at best. He talks s*** about Tom Brady. It’s like Michael Jordan. He was a terrible athlete is terms of being an *******, but no need to tarnish it
  15. I only saw about his game against Jays couple days ago but he’s got impeccable control normally, so just an outlier start. I watched some clips and stuff looked nice on K’s I saw
  16. It’ll be interesting to follow the career progression of him and Kumar. Not unlike say Trout and Harper in the beginning.

What’s funny, is I remember the decision to go #1 with him and it seemed to be consensus that Stroud has much louder tools and the heavy advantage on tale of tape/size. What hurt him, is whatever they call that football intelligence test that they weight heavily in the process. It basically labeled Stroud as partially retarded, in that it was one of the lowest scores ever. Whomp whomp
  18. 50/50 ball update, since you all want to know. They’re saying $500k now but will be more. The best stories for people like me with a dark sense of humor are guys like this, that miss it by inches and may spend the rest of their life reliving the moment in agony lol https://www.latimes.com/sports/story/2024-09-20/shohei-ohtani-50-50-home-run-ball-value Only 14k people there that night. Probably 5k in bleachers. Not a bad lotto ticket
  19. I’m thinking his unemployed second cousin likely has a sizable wager on 55/55
  20. Some Japanese billionaire wants that ball. Sorry can’t get over it. Edit: early “experts” saying few hundred thousand. Let’s see who is smarter, them or me? It’s always me
  21. I’ll say $5m possible. Let’s see
  22. I won’t dispute this. I’ll just say if I happened to come across an article with data along the way and retained the information
  23. I’ll say again. I’ll guess $3m+ for Ohtani ball. If I was there, I’d buy ticket for heck of it. Go to a couple games, worst and likely case (if he hits it), you just get to see 50/50 in person
  24. Let’s see the snip or it didn’t happen
  25. Well, two things need to be separated. What I said about families, which is opinion. The financial aspect is hard fact, based on player finances across the leagues after retirement. Look it up. I don’t do people’s research
