    I know playoffs don’t count, but going to say it again bc there was a lot of yapping and building up of Atkins pre-season… Honestly who is more deserving of GM of the year than Preller? Faced a lot of challenges, his deals came up all spades this year. From adding front line SP, to Profar, Arraez, keeping ROY, system players playing roles. Finished 5 games behind LAD for best record. Don’t see anyone else more deserving. He literally made the season with his moves

    Depends on his confidence level but if he signs a one year deal and isn’t good, it’s going to be long season of shame for him. I guess he could retire mid-season but that’s a shameful way to go. Better if he called it quits this off-season

    I mean, their star player was atrocious for most of the season. The guy that was a Top 5 Dynasty draft pick. If he was even ok, they win a couple more games. There’s no football spiking here

    I think it’s worth stopping to take a second to appreciate what AJ Preller has done. He took a big swing on Soto that didn’t work out, but was able to keep wheeling and dealing. Faced with a huge curveball of the money train coming to a halt and unforeseen financial challenges, he was able to retool the team into a 95 win team. While also holding on to the ROY. Exceptional development allows him to do so. Sometimes you give up a prospect and it hurts, more often than not, it doesn’t. Drew Thorpe trajectory took a nosedive. Top 10 GM easily, considering development. He ate Atkins for lunch and spit out the seeds this year
