  1. Idk. Obviously Lynn is much safer/better but he was just really good last year too so I imagine he’ll cost something of value. Really Jays make playoffs anyway so you’re talking few playoff games, if you can get Gausman/Bundy for some guys that’ll likely never play (impact I guess) in the majors, you’d have to consider I know there’s the extra year so I guess depends what cost is.
  2. I just Bundy ranks 24% percentile on FB velo but 92% percentile hard hit%. About the spin I guess
  3. Wow. Fangraphs is super high on him. 55 FV with plus bat. Do they actually update that? Understand he’s 24 and change but doesn’t look like it’s clicking obviously
  4. Corporate Rogers cares I bet:)
  5. So you’re going out on a limb and saying he won’t hit the 90hr over a full season like he’s on pace for?
  6. I announced the end of my Conor McGregor retirement yesterday. You must’ve missed it. Then I went on blabbing all sorts of non-baseball stuff all day, so I’m making up for it today by staying on-topic
  7. .791 OPS away..Tulo was around there I think
  8. I admit I have no idea what NA’s splits are
  9. Well, it couldn’t possibly work out any worse than the last time they traded for a supposedly superstar Coors hitter
  10. Yeah I could see it where Yanks get him and he somehow stops letting up HRs and figures it all out
  11. My bad. Read a couple times and couldnt tell. That would make sense though if he’s satire poster
  12. I can’t tell if this is in jest? Tatis leads the league in hard hit %, does he not? It’s not like 10% in an awful walk rate where he has no patience. He clearly means it when he swings and so you take the 26% K rate. He’s a f***ing beast.
  13. I’d take Gausman for his likely very cheap price. Definitely would rather have him start a playoff game over Roark or Anderson. Not like he’s a big upgrade but for the cost
  14. 536 men have been shot to death by cops this year vs 22 women. So either men are getting hunted down like animals or there’s underlying reasons why that is....fixing the underlying factors of this racial injustice you speak of is crucial. But I’ll just drop the political part of the discussion.. But to the more sport-related part.. why do athletes need resources for meaningful change? You think Bo Bichette couldn’t draw major attention to some local community project? Doesn’t even have to be a black guy or star (though star part helps obv). Cavan Biggio same thing. They don’t need to put their own money into it. Once the media gets involved businesses and individuals will take care of that part. And like I said, maybe MLB/NBA/indiv teams can pony something up too. But that’s where real change can happen. It won’t be from not playing a game and making it up tomorrow
  15. If you bounce me from playoffs we’re not friends anymore. Just sayin. Pick your team here
  16. It’s not about shut up and dribble or pitch.. canceling games till a later day just isn’t the right medium. Everyone is well aware of what’s going on and it’s not going to change anyone’s stance. It really just inflames the situation and nothing more. The players are much more in a position to create change than owners. Owners will write a check to charity where 70% is gobbled up in admin fees and the other 30% going to the cause is likely misappropriated on some level. Their influence outside of wring a check is very little and it wouldn’t be a big part of the solution. It’s clear from school budgets and such in some of these cities that tossing money at the problem won’t fix it alone. Players are the ones with millions of followers on social media and powerful voices. Their presence in the community can bring about big change. From supporting community centers and schools, to visiting police stations, etc. And they have media on their side to pressure owners about putting some money towards those kind of things. Team effort But again, delaying games and just making it up as part of a double header tomorrow is just plain dumb and nobody reasonable think it’s effective in any way. Just inflames the country’s already social divide
  17. Spank.. if you want to get back at these guys it would be really good if in protest you sat all of your good players in BORED next week. You have 1st wrapped up anyway most likely looks like
  18. Oh Spanky lol.
  19. Ah for the Mets. My bad. Skimmed it. I thought he was almost HOF type so the .780 OPS in the article Surprised me
  20. I’m old enough to distinctly remember being pumped for that
  21. 28 years ago today: https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.bluebirdbanter.com/platform/amp/2020/8/27/21404137/today-in-blue-jays-history-jays-trade-for-david-cone I thought Kent’s career numbers were better but different era I guess
  22. I was not aware of where it was until I googled. Prob looked at it many times driving by.
  23. Padres really don’t like Josh Naylor I guess. Starts and get 1 AB I was not aware he was from Mississauga, Canada. He’s prob the pride of there, no?
  24. Grumpy old men that don’t want their sports and politics intertwined (right or left). I’d say you’re dividing more than you are “shining a light” on something that’s been in the spotlight already.
