It’s been awhile since my brief albeit championship-winning reign in LOD but forgive me if I’m mistaken but William seems like an heir apparent to North in that he’s great at fantasy by constantly spamming out objectively very favorable trades and improves the team if even 5% get accepted. How accurate on a scale of 1-10 is that?

I mean to plays devils advocate, a lot of managers do save their closer for the 9th. Montoya didn’t go out and target Hand as the high-leverage savior we needed. Wash’s “heart of the order” isn’t anything scary. We literally just have a pile of meh RP to get to a decent closer that walks too many guys

It’s not that Berrios is bad, it’s that the team would’ve been better served either getting someone for scoring more runs, or protecting leads over a guy that goes every 5th day. SPs are usually acquired with the playoffs in mind

I’m the same. My grandfather is off-the-boat Italian and I’m never offended by the mafia or Jersey Shore caricatures or jokes. It’s a different world. That’s why I’m surprised they do air Family Guy. I guess I watched the older episodes, they have probably since toned it down

In fairness, my assumption is based on more history than this one instance. But while I agree with those that say this shouldn’t be something someone is canned for in a sane world, I also agree with you that you have to know your job and the times that we’re in. Can’t feel sorry for him
