    I had said Bauer should’ve found a wife for this stuff but have since changed my mind. I read an article yesterday where a lady is suing her ex-husband, an semi-famous musician Apparently he groomed and repeatedly sexually assaulted her. They met on MySpace when she was 16, they met for the first time in person when she was 18 and he apparently sexually assaulted her. This is believable to this point as you can see a girl trying to distinguish herself from a groupie (sorry for the slur) but the guy doesn’t take the “soft no” for a no… But the article continues: “they met regularly for the next year and the victim was sexually assaulted each time”… lol, like what in the even fudge is that? I guess some people honestly just take that without questioning it and keep reading

    Yeah some people only roster a couple elite SP and then stack up on elite RP (which I guess Hand used to be but guy just didn’t cut him yet).

    If you don’t make the playoffs, few extra wins really don’t matter, do they? But I do agree we don’t know if Ray wanted a 1-yr deal or not. We don’t have the slightest idea either way. But anytime a team wins big on a multi-year contract, it should be celebrated. Not 1 year deals if they don’t mean playoffs

    Who knows if they could’ve have signed him for 3 years like some of the other guys. That would’ve been the Golden move. Instead it’s like MS where they showcased their talents for a big contract and it didn’t mean playoffs for us. So it’s prob going to be only a comp pick for being so smart

    Your first paragraph is making your own assumptions, not unlike me making my own. As for the second, yes, if they add another 1/2 SP it would make the deal more appealing as it wouldn’t be a trade-off

    Plus if you don’t sign Sem, instead of running the corpse of Biggio out there, you shift Martin to the less demanding position somewhere in the IF. Probably will be some Panik type moves

    It’s definitely an acceptable way to frame things. They made a move for Berrios, it wasn’t much of a plus move so far with just him but also the team reversed course. Obviously that’s not the deal’s fault but all sports are results based businesses. There’s no cupcakes for trying. And as mentioned, SP wasn’t even the glaring need that has continued to pop up. Everyone is now completely s***ing on Martin due to the “gf break-up, or “got fired from job” factor, which is everyone hated it at first but then convinced themselves it was probably for the best. Yeah his swing is messed up this year but the tools are still there. If you lose Ray and keep Berrios next year, you literally traded away very intriguing prospects for a bag in donuts
