Yeah, they’ve gone well past “dipping their toes in the water” at this point. It’s a good story for baseball though bc it wasn’t too long ago that they were only a couple steps up from Tampa in terms of being a baseball city. Most importantly here, they’re an organization who has been one of better teams churning out prospects. So they have 4-5 year window to rebuild the farm while their team is competing.

He’s definitely got some different projections going on. I usually like The Bat more than the others and they don’t like him all. Pretty solid projections everywhere else though

You guys should write Fantrax and tell them to stop using their nonsense projections. Just import one of the other ones unless it’s proprietary and you can’t. Like how can you project Baty for .860 OPS and it’s annoying bc that’s the screen you start with, unless you can permanently change it

Yeah I’d imagine like 95% they’ll get it off in time and it just doesn’t carry the same suspense as the other 2 sports

Yeah they’re probably doing it so everyone can get used to the rhythm. But yeah, like both NFL and NBA it’ll be somewhere players can be aware but viewers only get last couple seconds. Actually I’m not even sure it should be broadcast for mlb unless it’s like Ball 4. Otherwise it’s not really significant enough like NFL or NBA

I mean, think about it in the eyes of all us fantasy managers. Like, should I start or stream this guy pitching at Coors? Lol. So I can understand a team at least considering someone’s confidence and being aware of that.

Oh actually I slept in late and half read it from bed, I was thinking it was talking about pitchers. Now I think it’s really stupid I don’t get why they were talking about the psychological effect on opposing SP (assuming they meant when they get lit up)

People are liking the volley of yours but “aren’t going to do this in an informed way” suggests there may be a situation where you think it makes sense. That’s all I’m saying. I also think it’s terrible as a policy and we’ll see if it actually happens, which I wouldn’t bet on. 4D chess it could also be a plus if the intended effect is really to tamper down expectations in the pitchers minds

I was just randomly tossing about the bomb. Generally speaking, anytime some sort of human element is discussed here, it’s trashed. Or anything that could be deemed “the old way of thinking”

I think as a policy it’s a bit much and don’t agree, but anytime there’s some sort of human element brought up, your crowd will always get up in arms because they see baseball as more a statistical simulation with robot players. Robot players that can get broken parts anyway. It’s probably not a bad idea for rookies and inexperienced guys. A veteran should understand it is what it is. When you’re younger, I’m sure there’s an invincibility thing that doesn’t lessen the blow if you get smacked around. Especially if you have a couple bad starts in a row

Thanks and sorry to post on it again, but it seems dead in the water. But yeah, I see it like you do of course. Both girls say they’re not going to publicly embarrass themselves, and the Muslim girl didn’t like the public intimacy. I had a 3rd option I liked but not nearly as much as other 2. I had ghosted her after meeting her a couple days and sent a a random email basically being like” hey, going to sound weird but what about doing a tv show”.. she read it by didn’t even reply. So whatever. I wasn’t guaranteed anything I guess anyway. The producer just wanted to get the girl on board and call him back for the “next steps” but maybe I still don’t go on idk, so I’m not going to start over I don’t think
