So the Leafs are pretty bad

I like the idea of blue and white to match the Jays and Leafs. I don't mind keeping the red and white as long as they change up the logo and the pattern. I actually kind of like the black and gold, but they would have to do it right.

Goins working with the hitting coach? Sounds great! I can't wait to see how he plays next year. Who knows how he'll play, but with his defense it's definitely worth seeing what he can do with the bat.

ESPN has the Raps with a 100% of making the playoffs and a 0% of winning the lottery. Also the 6th best chance to win the champ, lol.

Great game to watch. A loss to the Heat in Miami is nothing to get mad about. They have one more tough game before a much easier stretch of the schedule. Hopefully they respond well against the Pacers.

Ross has been amazing since he filled in for Gay in the starting lineup. His D on PG last night was excellent. JV has been doing much better on offense too. He's starting to show a few nice post moves to go with that running hook.

What an amazing game to watch. The crowd was electric and you can tell the players really want it. Ball movement, defense, hustle...it's actually fun to watch. Playoffs.

Normally I would agree, but I feel like draft picks' value this year is higher than ever and they might be able to pick a really good player from a team that's desperate to get worse and stockpile picks.

Raptors beat the Mavs and Thunder back to back on the road. First home loss of the season for the Thunder. I think it's going to be very hard for the Raps to get a top 5 pick, so for that reason I'm on board with trying to make the playoffs, unless they make some trades very soon. The thing is it kinda makes sense to try to acquire a good player from a team that wants to tank because there are so many teams tanking that might saturate the market with teams looking to get worse. Our draft pick this year could possibly net us a very good player, but I would only trade it for a huge overpay.

If we miss the playoffs by a game I'll count the season a success. I just want to see meaningful games after June

Just go with Goins. We're not gonna find a real 3 WAR+ 2B and the difference between Goins/Izturis and someone we could actually get isn't going to make or break our playoffs hopes.

I'm thinking its more about getting value out of players like Jose, Rasmus and our high-value relievers by selling at higher points. This team is going to have a tough time competing the way it is constructed now, so it makes sense to get the highest value for our current assets that we would probably not make the playoffs with. I don't want to see us get nothing out of these guys three years from now with no playoff appearance to shows (or even playoff races).

Yeah, I'd rather blow up this team and starts those guys and see what they can do. We would also have a TON of prospects and maybe some of them would almost be MLB ready.

If we have to try to compete this year: Trade Rasmus and a reliever for a pitcher. Trade another reliever for a DH/1B/LF to go with Lind. Play Gose in center, Goins/Izturis at 2B No Rules: Trade Jose, Rasmus, 3 relievers, Lind and Buehrle/Dickey for prospects. Start Nolin and Storman in the rotation. Goins at 2B Gose in CF Sierra in RF Jimenez at C in June
