  1. I'm glad you're all warm and fuzzy about the direction of this team. What do you think this board is for if we're not going to say how we feel about the team? I have an opinion that I'm going to share, if you have a problem then leave
  2. You're my favorite new poster If last year didn't make you unhappy then you're not a Jays fan
  3. That's what I'm feeling too. Last year was such a disaster I just want to flush it all away and go to back to where we were the year before: rebuilding with a good farm. I'm fine with not making the playoffs-(that's all I know since they haven't made the playoffs in my lifetime)-but the club better be taking a noticeable step forward every year. Plus its more fun to watch young guys
  4. What was the mean I can't remember
  5. Both Joses and Morrow are very injury prone. Dickey is special, but he's still 40. Lawrie is an injury waiting to happen. This just isn't a very healthy team. We haven't been healthy for years.
  6. I'm just bitter because I'm fed up with this org. The first draft I ever followed all the way through from pre-draft to signing day was the Synder, Sanchez draft. I can clearly remember Syndergaard being picked and he instantly became one of my favorite prospects. Now that's all been taken away, and Sanchez could easily be on the move soon. How sad is it that one of the greatest moments of my time being a die-hard Jays fan is Arencibia's debut? How sad is it that all I want is to see meaningful games in July and last year I had Red Sox fan friends complaining about the upcoming season in April. I don't want to spend another year watching the team miss the playoffs with such a high payroll and a weak farm. I'm tired of not selling high and buying low on assets.
  7. What did Steamer have last year? And before you say it was an anomaly, this is basically the same team, but older.
  8. I never knew you to be an optimist. All I want to see is competitive games past July, but I'm trying to be realistic here. Right now I'd pick us to come in 4th or 5th in our division easily. Drew himself isn't going to get us there, and I'm not willing to give up picks, Sanchez, Nay + and money to have a chance at a WC spot. Even if we made all those deals, are we set up any better than we thought we were last year? Look what happened.
  9. Well I thought last year we had a great chance to make the playoffs, but now after seeing the team play and seeing the strength of our division I'm not counting on it.
  10. How much do you value wins in a year we don't make the playoffs?
  11. Enlighten me why we should give up a draft pick and money for a 2-maybe 3 win upgrade in a non-contending year
  12. Hahaha settle down. If last year was fun at all for you I'll be truly surprised. No results, an old, injured, unlikeable team, and no future (Young players/ prospects).
  13. All I know is that I much more fun watching and following the Jays in 2011 and 2012 when they had a top farm system than last year.
  14. By July of last year I was more excited for Stroman's starts in NH than any Jays game
  15. I would much watch prospect play the entire season and finish 5th than watch these old guys fight for 3rd. We have too many injury prone players, a weak front of the rotation and too many holes to fill with the money/assets we have.
  16. I don't want to. I want to rebuild starting now
  17. No thanks. Not worth giving up a pick and spending more money for 2-3 wins in a non-contending year.
  18. Is it just me or does Blatche always go crazy vs. us. Anyways this is a tough game vs the Nets + Refs w/o DeRozan
  19. Normal people don't compare to you and your intelligence.
  20. Replace Romero with Nolin/Redmond and then Stroman as a wildcard and its looks OK on the backend. I think we can expect more from Morrow considering we got nothing last year
  21. I think I have Goins pegged for like 1-2 WAR somewhere like 30 pages back.
  22. Lol. "that are bound to fail"---You're mind is certainly made up
  23. First player in NBA history with 50+ points while averaging less than 10 ppg
  24. Amazing game even though we lost. Really exciting back and forth and an incredible game for Ross Crawford is just a pure Raptors killer.
  25. Ross 43 points oh my
