  1. Hahaha hopefully he comes out and attacks from the beginning next start.
  2. http://espn.go.com/sportsnation/chat/_/id/48502 Jays Stuff: "Over/under on the number of years before Rowdy Tellez is playing in a slow pitch softball game on ESPN?" "That's mean. Five and a half." "That high on Tellez, huh?" "I didn't get that signing at all. Then again I wasn't wild about Bickford, so the Jays and I don't really line up on amateurs." "How do you project AJ Jimenez's future in the majors? Average regular? Star? I ask because I cant take Arencibia behind the plate anymore." "Backup." "How is Sandburg different than Tellez? Both big power guys with less than ideal hit tools." "You just compared one of the draft's best athletes to one of its worst. How do I have to clarify this?"
  3. With his offspeed stuff he should. Looks like he had a good ninth inning
  4. Now that's better. Does he throw a curve and a slider?
  5. If AA doesn't trade from our surplus to a team that will overpay for it, I'm going to go berserk. We could trade 2-3 relievers and replace them easily. Wagner and Perez have been good, Carreno has dominated the minors, Stilson...ect.
  6. A glimmer of the old AA with a Rasmus type deal would be so nice right now.
  7. If he's throwing that hard he should be getting more K's in single A
  8. Yeah I don't know what his stuff is like, but I guess he's more of a contact guy.
  9. Robson with another great start: 5IP 3H 0ER 1BB 2K DJ Davis: 2/2 BB SB
  10. Cardona and Robson starting the two games for Bluefield today
  11. If Melky played good D and ran well (like Pillar) it would be working out ok.
  12. Just saw on the Dunedin site that Hutch is scheduled to start on Saturday... Any know when Sanchez is pitching, because it feels like it's been forever. I remember he pitched an inning in a game before it got rained out.
  13. Smoral managed to finish an inning without walking the park, nice.
  14. Syndergaard 11. I think I'm going to stop checking the top of these lists starting this offseason to spare myself.
  15. Please don't trade Sanchez, AA
  16. I would think they would considering he played a good bit in Bluefield last year.
  17. If he can hit at all in the MLB he will be very valuable as a very good defensive catcher. We just need him to stay healthy and continue to hit.
  18. We have at least 3 relievers who could be traded for very good return value. Since we're not going anywhere this year and bullpens are pretty easily rebuilt, why not trade 2-3 of them. I don't think Delabar, Cecil or Janssen will ever be worth more than they are now. We have plenty of depth that can take over for them.
  19. Because they don't want to risk him not getting to pitch if the NL scored 3 runs in the 8th
  20. That's actually pretty weird
  21. Davis follows his 2 HR game with a 4K game tonight
  22. I went to the NH game tonight so here's some quick observations: Nolin pitched a great game (8IP 4H 0ER 2BB 9K). He sat 88-90 down in the zone most of the game. Hit 93-94 a couple times. A good amount of swings and misses on a 79-82 changeup. Threw a couple curves around 70 that looked just okay. I can remember two of the 4 hits were groundballs that found a hole. One of the walks was on a full count and it looked like the batter went around. The only trouble he ran into was in the 8th inning, but he got out of it and looked frustrated with himself as he walked to the dugout. Had a few hard hit flyballs that stayed in the park, but mostly groundballs and popups. Jimenez looked good behind the plate. No one tried to steal off him, but there weren't many baserunners. His throws to 2nd in warmups looked really good though. At the plate he looked alright. He took a few too many close pitches and had a couple decent flyouts. Burns didn't really get any action at 3rd, but he had a big 2 run double that was a few feet from being a HR to left-center. One thing I noticed was that he was always the first one out of the dugout between innings and seemed to be enjoying himself. Melky was in NH rehabbing and had a good game. He had a single back up the middle and then hit a HR that easily cleared the wall in right. He didn't get tested in left, but from what I saw he looked pretty good running. Interestingly he was the player signing the most autographs before the game.
