  1. I agree. The way the rule is as of now,it's to the benefit of the defensive team to make throws at home a bit to the third base side, knowing the runner isn't allowed to touch the catcher. If he does, they can claim the throw took the catcher there. Idiotic rule.
  2. That bolded part of the rule needs to be removed. It should be the fault of the defensive team if the throw is up the line.
  3. I hear you but the catcher can always receive the ball out in front a bit more to ensure a lane. The catchers aren't fully use to it yet.
  4. The catcher must provide a visible lane in order for the base runner to "see" home plate on his way home before he receives the ball. Once the catcher has possession of the ball,he can then block the plate.
  5. That's ********. The new rules say he must have a lane.
  6. That f***ing helmet. Gose needs to seriously get a better fitted helmet.
  7. I meant the Jays are in a good mind set and won't play down to their competition.
  8. Left the game three nights ago with a cramp in his leg i believe. Doesn't sound like anything serious, just being cautious with him, especially near the trade deadline.
  9. They're in a good mind set right now,not happening.
  10. I think you're right. Reyes starting playing better defense right around the time Goins was called up.
