  1. The type of offensive seasons like we had last year don't happen very often, and to expect the same results this year is not realistic. The make up of the offense will change next year (here's hoping).
  2. I love the way Happ likes to work inside, basically telling Martin to GFH.
  3. Tim Mayza with another 1.1 IP of scoreless ball with 0 BB and 2 K's. The big hard throwing lefty is carving up the FSL.
  4. You can probably find a NL team who will think they can get him back to his old self again.
  5. Trade him at the deadline if he's still s***. Travis will add offence and just platoon Goins and Barney at SS.
  6. He looked down while he was already in his slide. Take your dental floss blindfold off.
  7. Even after he fell, I thought he still could have caught that, but he looked down for some reason. Not impressed with his defence so far.
  8. Shhhhhhhhh.. You don't want to talk about this protection nonsense around these parts.
  9. LHP Tim Mayza continues to dominate the FSL. After making some adjustments in his delivery in the off season, the big lefty is off to a fantastic start after having a great spring with the big club. I'd like to see him promoted later this year and see what he can do in New Hampshire, although it might be wise not to rush him. Kid has a future.. Tonight's line.. 1.1 IP 0 H, 0 BB, 3K 0.49 ERA after 18.1 innings of work with 4BB and 20K while only giving up 9 hits with a 0.79 WHIP.
  10. Where did I say that I want Goins batting fifth? Enlighten me..
  11. Lol, keep trying you f***ing loser. MODS, this is exactly how s*** starts.
  12. True but this doesn't always necessarily equate to wins, which is more important than a player's individual value. You want your clean up hitter getting more pitches in the zone to hit rather than being pitched around. Let's be honest, if Tulo or Smoak were batting fifth (vs a RHP) instead of Saunders, you would have to assume that EE over the course of the game will see a few more hittable pitches. Let's see how it plays out..
  13. LOL.. So what you're saying is that if Thole or Goins were hitting fifth instead of Saunders, it wouldn't make a difference on how EE is pitched? GTFOOH
  14. Nah.. I think because the game is in a NL park and losing the DH, Saunders hitting fifth provides valuable protection for EE. I like the move.
  15. With the realistic event that Bautista will be gone, combined with our new regime, Reddick should be a strong candidate. The fact that he'll come cheaper, a LHB, his numbers should be better playing half his games at the RC, plus he just seems to be a Shapiro type guy. I think he'd be a nice fit here if Shapiro can find a way to land him.
  16. Tulo just can't get on top of the ball. I think he should check the positioning of his back elbow, he's dipping it during his swing, so he should raise it a bit in his approach(stance).
  17. That's why Floyd should have started the eighth. Hopefully the depth chart will now change.
  18. The second ground ball wasn't hit that hard. BABIP'd
  19. I think they're going to tweek that rule before it's all said and done.
