  1. Yeah i'll agree with you and say I don't hate this idea, but I do hate some of the other ideas Manfred has expressed (like auto-walks and reliever limits)
  2. I want to believe, but I'm quite skeptical. Why didn't Selig ever talk about stuff like this? And anyways, in this case I would say a more "palatable product" would center around decreasing the number of games which in turn would make every game significantly more important. It's quite obvious that the number of games is the issue here. Football games are just as "slow" as baseball games, and they get pretty brutal when there is like 3 minutes remaining in a close game, which ends up being extended to 30 minutes because of all the timeouts. The average length of an NFL game is actually longer than the average length of an MLB game.
  3. Oh dude, I agree. I love that fact that baseball is on EVERY day, and its one of the main reasons I fell in love with the sport. I definitely don't want the season to be shortened. Just sayin, the sport will never be as popular as the others because of the daily time commitment. Manfred should understand this. Shortening/quickening games will do nothing to attract new fans.
  4. The only way to increase Baseball's popularity is to dramatically decrease the number of games each season. We're talking like 100 games a season MAX. 162 games is just too much of an investment for some people, and its the reason Football will always be #1 in America. Its a sport you only need to commit 1 day each week to support your team.
  5. Probably less.
  6. Next they'll eliminate the need to round the bases after hitting a homerun.
  7. Must be nice to have players take a paycut to sign with your team.
  8. I seriously hope this doesn't become a trend. The owners should never be meddling with front office affairs and player signings/trades.
  9. Never forget the walk-off walk against the Giants last year.
  10. June 1st - Yankees

    June 28 - Orioles

    July 6 - Astros

    August 13 - Pirates

    August 30 - Redsox

    Sept. 13 - Orioles

    Sept. 24 - Yankees

Are you selling tickets for any of these games?

  11. Really hoping we can nab Pagan
  12. It automatically selects "best available" for the section, you don't have the choice. I feel like they are holding back some good seats for the single-game sales though, so i'm not gonna bother with these "flex" packs.
  13. I started sitting in the 500s behind homeplate last year, and I love those seats. Plus they have those vendors with 50+ different beers. Favorite game i've ever been to at the RC has to be the wildcard game. 500s behind home plate, dome open, wearing a sweater, watching that walkoff... Damn. Anyways, I love the 500s on summer nights. You get the nice breeze up there. Its great. Plus the seats are cheap as f***.
  14. Definitely great seats if you can get a hold of them through work or something. Actual leg room, padded seats, great view of the field, and hot servers in tight black dresses. Also lots of foul balls.
  15. Its worse now. I was getting row 12 at best
  16. I personally like the summer nights pack, but the seats are garbage. 500 section all they have is 20th row+ ?? Give me a f***ing break.
  17. I keep trying to tell people but they never listen
  18. Honestly, it seems more likely that some guys came across his reck on the road and decided to rob him.
  19. Not even enough for a regular burger
  20. Holy s*** that's terrible. I was just watching videos of his hot head moments a few days ago... The little argument with Trout, beaning Machado and getting charged on the mound, etc. He was a huge douche but didn't deserve to have his life ended at 25. Crazy.
  21. Its not cheating if everyone is doing it. Why should we punish the guys who came out and admitted steroid use, while giving a free pass to the scumbags too ashamed to admit it?
  22. I don't want to have to see his garbage any more
  23. Please stop quoting
