  1. Well if the weather is any indication…. Although we had nice weather for game 2 and that turned out crappy. Predicting a Jays 7-4 win to force a game 7
  2. This team doesn’t have a good enough bullpen to reliably win 1-run games in the playoffs. That’s just how it is.
  3. Common denominator here is that bum IKF that can’t lay down a bunt and gets caught in a DP
  4. Everyone wanting Hoffman in that spot should take a little trip down memory lane here for Hoffman’s last save in the regular season: Or Game 4 of the ALDS: You guys don’t even know what you want
  5. I was like, one of the biggest Hoffman supporters/believers most of the year until about August when i stopped believing in him. He’s extremely volatile, it is what it is. Funny now the thinking has flipped and its a “fireable offense” that they didn’t use him in the 8th against the heart of the lineup. All the people that were screaming and complaining about him all year are now ANGRY he wasn’t used in a 2-1 game. Fkn nutters some of you lol.
  6. They actually did use Hoffman while down 3-1 in the 9th in game 1 of this series. And then again in the 8th of game 4. In the DS, he closed that last game for 4 outs, came in with bases loaded in the 8th and got out of it with a flyout. Gave up 1 run in the 9th, 2 doubles by Aaron Judge and Jasson D. I wouldn’t say he’s looked “great”, but he kept the ball in the yard.
  7. Yeah people acting like a 2-1 lead being an easy win if we don’t use Little are insane. Pretty damn good chance the Mariners at least tie the game by the 9th. We lost the game because of failure to execute on the offensive side combined with some bad bounces. One of those classic games where the jays have 7 hits (5 of them doubles) and 2 walks yet only score 2 runs. We’ve seen it before this season. Just gotta win the next game.
  8. It was some insane cherrypicking to get that 6 ERA number, basically using August 28th as the start point because that was a bad outing for him.
  9. The final Yankees game kinda? And Hoffman gave up ALOT of hard contact and could’ve potentially blown that game. Maybe soured the internal opinion on him.
  10. Too bad that doesn’t seem to be working for the Mets. I still think the Ohtani deferrals s*** is BS and goes against the integrity of competitive balance and shouldn’t be allowed.
  11. lollll classic. Having such a strong opinion when you don’t even have the facts
  12. I feel like the front leg is more important for hitting. Hurt my back foot really bad at the end of this season, but couldn’t really feel it hitting. You transfer all the weight forward just before contact so your front side is more important IMO. He’ll probably lose power and the running will be questionable, but he may be able to play through.
  13. Oh stop it with this. Nobody EXPECTS them to win both. But its very possible, not a longshot at all. Jays have been beasts at home all year, and games 1/2 of this series doesn’t change that.
  14. This organization has been consistent in their dismissal of the short sample size and playing the long game looking at a larger body of work. Except when it comes to hitting matchups for some reason…
  15. I’ve been on the Schneider hate-train since the 2022 wildcard BS and i’ve been consistent about it. But im not gonna get upset about this, we don’t have a clear option to go to in tight games like this. Nobody has been reliable and consistent enough. Thats on Atkins for not getting a lockdown guy like Duran or Miller at the deadline.
  16. Yeah, but people complain about Little all the time, pretty much every time he pitches and usually he’s OK. This time he sucked. I feel like Little gets way too much hate for the kind of numbers he’s put up on the season. Yes, the walks are bad but overall, he usually does a good job. that being said, I don’t think this was the right time to use him.
  17. Right you can semi-justify it if you squint a bit. Not the right move IMO, wouldn’t have done it myself. And it backfired spectacularly. But its not out of nowhere.
  18. I don’t think this game has any affect on the front office’s decision to keep John or not
  19. No baseball today… thanks a lot Brewers you bums
  20. Tldr We need more/better lock-down relievers because we kinda don’t have any. I think we can all agree on this.
