    I remember there being some big name relief pitcher that AA tried to sign and he signed with another team. The news was that we had offered an extra year and more money overall than the team he eventually signed with. Can’t remember who it was though. I think the Canada thing is a big factor though. You’re underestimating the whole American patriotism/nationalism culture

    I agree, he should receive a 2 week ban minimum. But he won’t, because he’s one of the vets/donors here. Absolutely ridiculous posting an entire thread claiming that another regular forum member is DEAD. Multiple users also called him out on it saying he was lying and he wouldn’t back down and kept trying to make it seem real. We don’t need human garbage like that on this forum.

    Yeah its a bunch of he said she said, but I wouldn’t be surprised if its true. We’ve learned the last few days that Atkins is a terrible negotiator.

    The only thing I can think of is that he didn’t want to risk any more problems with Stroman before the deadline. For example, if Stroman was asked to skip his Tuesday start because he was on the trade block i’m sure he would have flipped his s***.

    Maybe they go out and sign that ace when the time is right. In Atkins interview today he talked a lot about the financial flexibility they will have. With the infield and outfield pretty much locked up that could leave a lot of money to acquire a legit ace.

    I went and checked Stroman’s twitter and he retweeted a couple of those Keith Law tweets. What a f***ing baby. Get off the social media dude and find an actual hobby that doesn’t show everyone how f***ing dumb you are.

    Once again, it seems like Atkins identifies a player he likes and settles for that. Never gets any decent secondary pieces in these trades. I don’t like it. He doesn’t seem to be a very good negotiator.
