  1. He also could have run all the way back to first base for the force out, nullifying the run at the plate. Just some absolute wood-tier intelligence displayed there. Javy Baez galaxy brain play
  2. Its great when you actually know where the ball is going when it comes out of your hand
  3. Brantley also had massive injury concerns, important to remember
  4. I’d like to keep Teo around if he continues this production with the bat through the end of the year. Love his general attitude. Probably sign him for something similar to the Castellanos contract? Ozuna? Idk what it takes. My gut says to let Semien walk, as good as he’s been. He’s on the wrong side of 30 and we have several infielders coming up through the system. Also Biggio fits better at 2B. And I wouldn’t sign Vladdy to an extension just yet IMO.
  5. Good win tonight, great showing by Matz. Excited for Manoah tomorrow and glad he won’t have the pressure of trying to snap a 7 game losing streak. Let’s win this series
  6. Well... lets see if the Bullpen can manage to hold a 4 run lead tonight
  7. For sure you’re right. It definitely sucks starting the week 23-17 and falling to 23-23 by the end of the week. Especially since every single game was within reach. This is still a good team, pitching staff is just battling through some injuries and general fatigue (and regression).
  8. Yeah, I suppose that comment was unfair. I still stand by the non-competitive attitude comment though
  9. In Charlie’s mind, that’s probably it. I don’t really think he’s the competitive type. He enjoys the game and that’s it. There’s a certain type of person that stays in the same role for 15+ years not trying to advance their career. He seems content just being around the game, no ambition.
  10. Arguably he had the same effect on Gurriel too... except it seems Gurriel kinda forgot everything this year.
  11. God I hope Manoah does well. We desperately need a starter that can go like 5-6 innings for 2-3 runs. Offense will handle the rest.
  12. I was definitely HOPING they would win. But it didn’t feel like they would... if that makes sense. These extra innings against Tampa (including last year) have been absolutely brutal
  13. Its been the worst week for the Jays in several years IMO. Last time I can remember was when they got swept by Baltimore in the last week of the season in 2016. EDIT: not swept, but they lost games 2 and 3 to Baltimore and lost to Boston the next day. That was rough because I think they were tied with Baltimore in the standings at that point and it was looking like they might just miss the playoffs
  14. Reading comprehension needs some work dude. “Feels like they’re still gonna lose this... almost wish Semien didn’t tie it” I was saying that even after tying it, it felt to me like they probably still weren’t going to win and I would have preferred them to lose in the 10th instead of wasting more bullets just to lose in the 11th. Also an extreme morale crusher to tie the game twice late and still lose. The team would have been better off losing 7-5 in the 10th
  15. Explain how it was an idiotic statement
  16. Manuel Margot hitting 4th Its frustrating how they keep managing to win with garbage hitters
  17. Bullpen was the strength through the first 5 weeks and now it’s literally lost us 5 games in a row
