    Yeah this is dumb that people are complaining about the PR. If you score there then the spot in the order probably never comes back up again. You don’t NOT pinch run Kirk late in a tie game because the spot might come up again in the 9th or 10th if the game is still tied.

    If Bo hits a single Kirk is definitely not going 1st to 3rd. Could have a man on 3rd 1 out if Bichette gets a hit. Also a possible steal. Definitely worth it

    Sure you could try to sign Soto long term but he just turned down 400 million lol. Maybe he’d be more interested in a shorter contract higher AAV… something like 200mil/5yrs (buying out an arb year) and then test free agency around age 30

    Yeah same. Groshans is also a possible IF option for SS/2B coverage. The impact of Soto in the lineup would be astronomical

    Espinal getting in at 2B which is a relatively weak position this year is far less egregious than Vlad over Ty France at 1B IMO

    Maybe he just doesn’t want to be in Washington anymore? Maybe prefers to sign to a perennial contender like the Yanks/Dodgers

    All of those players play more important positions and aren’t restricted to 1B/DH. And Vlad rebounding is not a given. I feel like he will, but the risk in signing him long term is too great IMO
