  1. Couldn’t happen to a better guy
  2. The most intriguing part here is that he hit 99. I don’t think he was ever close to throwing the fastball that hard
  3. We really squandered what was supposed to be our peak in 2021-2023. Now it will just continue to get tougher with the Os on the rise (and possibly the Redsox too with 4 guys in the top 100)
  4. Welcome. Nice to have some optimism around here
  5. Too bad Manoah looks like a lost cause… really gotta hope one of the main 4 don’t have any struggles or setbacks. Obviously Kikuchi would be a prime candidate
  6. Yeah. Really hope Arjun becomes a decent player because that would be huge for getting more of the Indian demographic interested in the sport
  7. You were whining and complaining about how Nathan Lukes better be making the team yesterday after watching him hit a triple. So yeah, you judge things on small spring samples
  8. Yeah its not bad. Would you sign Springer for 3/75 right now? Probably not, but that’s because he had a bad year last season and he’s getting up there in age. He still projects for more WAR than Cody Bellinger, who just signed a 3/80 deal. Recency bias plays a major role here. We’ll see in 2024 if Springer is over the hill or not.
  9. Mmmm maybe but I wouldn’t be surprised to see him bounce back this year in a big way. I don’t think he’s washed after 1 bad season (where most of the team underperformed offensively) He had a record-high number of steals and remained healthy which is a better indicator of him still not being done.
  10. He knows next to nothing about baseball. If it was up to him, Nathan Lukes would be the everyday RF over Springer.
  11. Interesting
  12. Such a valuable player, man
  13. Interesting. Good though, he shouldn’t be breaking camp with the team. He’ll likely be first in line if there’s an injury to Vlad/Turner
  14. True, but the roster is different now. At the time Springer was the only CF
  15. Im saying I don’t give a s*** that its Joey votto, he’s dogwater at this point. Vogelbach would be a much better bench piece. Look at any projections. End of the day its the 26th spot so really who gives a f***.
  16. The difference in projections are almost 20 points in wRC+, its not negligible
  17. Yeah Judge being the everyday CF wont last very long methinks.
  18. This is a stupid f***ing response and you should be ashamed. Look at the projections FFS. Its not even close. Votto is 40 and washed
  19. He publicly trashed canada. He’s a converted American at this point. Who cares.
  20. Most likely yeah. People are getting way too caught up in the name. Votto aint gonna sit on the bench for 5 days and come up with a PH homer. Voggie might.
  21. He had opportunities to be traded here but said he wouldn’t waive his NTC. Specifically said he doesn’t care about TO
  22. Yeah same. Its a whatever move
