  1. I think that Rakuten have 5 days to announce who is/are the highest bidder (0-20 millions), then, that team/teams should agree with Tanaka before January 24th.

  11. Are the Toronto Blue Jays one of the teams that will be making a big play for free agent pitcher Masahiro Tanaka? Back in September, general manager Alex Anthopoulus all but said as much prior to the team's 2013 finale. insider copy-paste http://insider.espn.go.com/blog/mlb/rumors/post?id=11139&ex_cid=espnapi_public
  12. Johan Santana close to signing with a team Once a dominate pitcher, Johan Santana has battled injuries and it has caused his career to not be as promising as it once seemed. Since 2010, he has pitched in 316 innings. He last pitched in 2012 and is now looking to comeback this year. Santana is close to signing with a team on a minor-league contract, according to Nick Cafardo of the Boston Globe. He says that there has been speculation that it could be the Minnesota Twins, as he grew up in Fort Myers, Fla., where they play Spring Training. Other teams who have shown interest are the Tampa Bay Rays, Baltimore Orioles, Kansas City Royals, Milwaukee Brewers, Pittsburgh Pirates, New York Yankees and New York Mets, according to Andrew Marchand of ESPN New York. With the Mets in 2012, Santana went 6-9 with a 4.85 ERA and a 111/39 strikeout-to-walk ratio. Any team that signs Santana knows that he won't be the pitcher he once was, but still is a solid option for them if he makes the team.
  13. The thing is that most 5'9 guys can't keep throwing over 95 Mph for long period of time; Stroman was considered as a Starter not only for their 95 Mph heat, his secondary stuff helped him a lot (Motherf***er Slider) Every day I see guys under 6 feet height (18, 19 and 20 years old) throwing over 90's Mph and they aren't signed.
  14. He's not big deal as a ballplayer
  15. Moises Alou "Sometimes we (Leones del Escogido) think that X player is a 6/10; 4 of the remaining 5 GMs think the same about X player, but the GM to which the X player belongs think that the player is 10/10; That's an insult to us" btw "I have a good working relationship with Jays's GM Alex"
  16. lol Are you sure? I've talked with Omar Minaya, Moises Alou and Stanley Javier and they said "It's easier to negotiate with someone who thinks like you"
  17. I know that we haven't much good trade pieces in our farm (Stroman and Sanchez) but the Nats package was s*** ... AA only has good relationship with Jeff Luhnow and Loria lol
  18. Angels favorites to sign LHP Mark Mulder
  19. Uehara's performance isn't sustainable; He's old
  20. I'll invite you a beer with my money.............or a hooker; you decide!!
