  1. AA: "Impact of arb gets overblown - Roberto Alomar went to a hearing when #Bluejays acquired him. No risk of hurt feelings." #Jays
  2. Long term deal? We dont have president. Who will sign the check?
  3. Gregor Chisholm #BlueJays avoid arbitration with Marco Estrada. He gets a one-year deal for 3.9 million. Tons of money long-RP
  4. Jon Heyman ‏ michael saunders, jays settle at $2.875M for 2015
  5. Is Goldy underrated?
  6. Jose Bautista "Bullpens are the most volatile position and tough to improve. #BlueJays
  7. ANTHONY CASTROVINCE MLB'S ALL-UNDERRATED TEAM FOR 2015 C: Yan Gomes, Indians 1B: Paul Goldschmidt, D-backs lol 2B: Neil Walker, Pirates SS: Brandon Crawford, Giants 3B: Trevor Plouffe, Twins LF: Michael Saunders, Blue Jays Saunders spent the bulk of his playing time in 2014 (when he actually played) in right, but the Blue Jays, who just recently acquired him from the Mariners, will replace Melky Cabrera with him in left. And that trade is the primary inspiration for Saunders' inclusion on this list. Clearly, this is a guy who has struggled to stay on the field, and the Mariners' pointed remarks about his conditioning and the public spat that resulted in those remarks were what preceded the trade to Toronto for J.A. Happ. But here's the thing: Even while limited to just a half-season of play in '14, Saunders compiled a higher WAR mark (2.4, per Baseball Reference) than Happ (1.4) did in 26 starts. Also, Happ (32) is older than Saunders (28), makes more money than Saunders and is under contractual control for just one more year compared to Saunders' two. So there is an easy statistical argument to be made that the Mariners underrated Saunders' value in this trade. Or hey, maybe Saunders continues to struggle to stay on the field or the Blue Jays get the bad end of his streaky side. But he's in his prime years, he's a good defender, and his three-year WAR mark (5.3) is better than that of guys like Jay Bruce (5.1), Marlon Byrd (5.0), Carlos Beltran (4.6), Nick Swisher (4.6), Curtis Granderson (4.6), Matt Kemp (4.5) and Michael Cuddyer (4.5). So as far as I'm concerned, this is a good, affordable player that the Blue Jays gave up very little to get. CF: Dexter Fowler, Astros RF: Seth Smith, Mariners SP: Jose Quintana, White Sox Closer: Steve Cishek, Marlins
  8. After Saunders deal, Fowler doesn't make sense. Pompey is for real, and he'll be our 9th hitter.
  9. Brendan Kennedy ‏ File-to-trial #bluejays expected to reach agreement w/ 3 remaining arb-eligible players before today's 1pm deadline to exchange figures.

  15. Jon Heyman ‏ Lance Lynn agrees to 3-year deal with cardinals
  16. Arbitration deadline tomorrow. Long term deal canditate: Cecil, Donaldson and.......................... Michael Saunders?
  17. Same line of thought. The first Duquette move will be fire AA for trade a huge asset like Hoffman for a guy who could being here for free. Tons of O's FO guys want Dan out right now. Angelo is rising Dan's value talking s***.
  18. AA to Duquette after the deal: "I headed entire process to bring you here. Jeff Hoffman is one of the most prized pieces in this organization, which means that your value is very high for me and believe that you will be a great president" "As I appreciate you, I hope you appreciate me in the same way and don't fire me." "I promise to start a diet and reduce my big ass. You are the president and you deserve to have the biggest ass of the whole organization."
  19. The Orioles need to part with GM Dan Duquette. Ken Rosenthal Yes, I noted the strong denial from Orioles owner Peter Angelos after both FOX Sports' Jon Paul Morosi and I reported that the Orioles had discussed a compensation package that the O's would require for allowing Duquette to become CEO of the Blue Jays. To which I say: All part of negotiating. Angelos told Dan Connolly of The (Baltimore) Sun that Duquette to the Jays "is not going to happen." Certainly, I would not expect Angelos to tip his hand. I also would not expect him to part easily with Duquette, who is under contract through 2018. Here's the problem: Duquette wants the job, according to major-league sources; CEO is a step up from GM -- the highest position, in fact, that an executive can attain. Duquette's preference is no secret within the Orioles' organization, creating a question of divided loyalties and an uncomfortable working environment. As I've reported previously, some of those employees believe that Angelos should allow Duquette to depart. What would the Orioles do about a GM? Manager Buck Showalter likely would welcome more responsibility, perhaps even a dual manager/GM role. Special assistant Brady Anderson also could assume expanded duties, and the Orioles could hire an administrative type to make sure the front office ran efficiently. Could Showalter succeed as both manager and GM? Probably not, considering that a GM's responsibilities are almost too much for one person, much less someone who also is managing. But that is a question for another time. The bottom line is that Angelos has an employee who wants to be elsewhere. And that is not a healthy situation. Jeff Hoffman? - No way!!
  20. The only board with a handsome and smart spanish speaker is this. I think I'm one of the differents between the two board. You're lucky to have me. AA, dont trade me for Duquette.!
  21. 19 years old Braves prospect Yeralf Torres died on car accident.
  22. AA is smart again. He's trying to bring home his new boss.
