  13. The Toronto Blue Jays have discussed trading outfielder Kevin Pillar with multiple clubs, according to Ken Rosenthal of Fox Sports. The rebuilding Blue Jays already dealt designated hitter Kendrys Morales to the Oakland Athletics, and Pillar could be next to go in order to make room for the young outfielders in Toronto's pipeline, Rosenthal adds. Teoscar Hernandez, Billy McKinney, and Randal Grichuk have lined up alongside Pillar in Toronto's outfield in the first games of the season. Should Pillar be moved, Anthony Alford could find himself at the big-league level. The San Francisco Giants recently emerged as a potential trade partner for the 30-year-old center fielder, but no deal materialized. Apparently, they are not alone in the market for Pillar, but the other teams remain unknown. The free-swinging outfielder is coming off a season where he hit .252/.282/.426 with 15 home runs and 40 doubles over 142 games. Through the season's first three games, he has been unable to find a groove at the dish, going 0-for-12 with three strikeouts against the Detroit Tigers. Pillar is under team control through the 2020 campaign and will enter his final year of salary arbitration at the conclusion of this season.
