    The reason there's a rift between him and Dipoto to begin with is because he fired Scoscia's BFF Mickey Hatcher, because apparently being buds with Mike means unlimited job security. I don't know if Hatcher "deserved it" but turnover in that spot is pretty rampant and to cry about it for like 3 years is ridiculous. Invite the guy over for a barbecue if you miss him so much. Now, Scoscia is being a sourpuss and refuses to utilize things like scouting reports, spray charts, hitter tendencies that are passed to him by the FO. He's very anti-stat and thinks he's bigger and more important than the guy above him.

    There is more reason to "believe in Betts" being ML ready was my point and you put up with his slump because you know he has the talent to be a first division CF, something Pompey probably isn't. I agree that if the FO decided to go with Pompey from the get go that they should have given him more rope but I wasn't a fan of that decision in the first place.

    Yeah it was useful since apparently this guy isn't aware that Mookie Betts is a) major league ready (proved all he could in the minors, unlike Pompey) and is far more talented. There is no equating the situations.
