  1. And Winker is striking out less often, walking far more often than he's striking out, has a much higher wRC+ and one fewer homer. What's your point?
  2. Investing heavily in an 18 year old is always a good idea.
  3. Like who? You're not getting a Cole, Syndergaard, Fernandez. Maybe Kluber? Doubtful though. Carrasco? Lester has a couple years on Cueto. Idk if you know this but Johnny Cueto is pretty damn good. You're just typically averse to even trades, not everyone is. You can think whatever you like, but the odds are that Giolito won't be as good as Cueto is. Nothing that you're saying here is built on anything near tangible. He's looking for advice based on measurable factors.
  4. Well there's the injury risk, too. Pitchers have a lot to deal with as is. How about teams have to put a Ryan Goins type at DH? Win-win. Pitchers reduce risk of injury, and you still get to watch a spectacularly s***** hitter bunt at the first opportunity.
  5. Maybe the problem is that you're offering guys like Mitch Moreland.
  6. Bundy and Meyer are probably a wash. I think you're pretty happy if Giolito turns out as good as Cueto. Tough call for me, would really depend where you are on the win curve. If you're an easy playoff team, I'd probably do it.
  7. lol spittin i love when he makes trades
  8. There's absolutely no way the Sox are giving up Benintendi, Moncada, Espinoza, or Betts for Bautista. Maybe Devers but not much more than that.
  9. I agree with you mostly on the likelihood of it happening (mostly) but I'm saying it could make sense for both teams pretty easily, and it's definitely a topic worth exploring.

Yeah I'm in no place to judge given the emotion involved, but I feel like, given time, I'd be able to appreciate that for what it was.

Idk, I don't enjoy posting in GDTs so I generally don't unless Buck and Pat say something stupid or I want to troll Gruber. Generally, I don't really react. If the Jays don't do well, I still love the sport. Yesterday was just amazing, I don't even remember the Jays game. As a fan of the game, you live for those moments even if they happen against your favourite team.
  12. I dunno. I could see it making sense for LA. They won't be good anytime soon and they could deal Trout for real impact talent that the Red Sox definitely do possess.
  13. I'd have to think they'd need to give up Benintendi+Moncada+Espinosa++ They could come up with a fair package without hurting their depth too much, methinks. Which is scary. Also plz don't trade Benintendi.
  14. Yes. Runners on, less than 2 outs? Bunt. Otherwise? Don't bunt. So much stratujee
  15. Now I definitely believe that you are 105.
  16. I think you guys need counseling. Are you tired of him being on top? Just talk it through bros.

Holy f*** hit the nail on the head or what? I come into this f***ing cesspool of a thread once in awhile during a game due to mild curiosity and will see things like "game over" "ffs this team is garbage" "fire Casey, this team is going nowhere" and look on NBA.com to see that the Raptors are within like 2 or 3 points +/-.
  18. Yup, also holds the unpopular view (for a NL pitcher) that the NL should adopt the DH. Max is one of the good ones, definitely helps that he's really f***ing good too.
  19. Looks like you ran out of money there brah
  20. It's Tuesday http://i.imgur.com/PrHQXwt.png
  21. Man, why can't Rubby do this every start?
  22. lol as if you have the faintest clue, armchair scout.
  23. I think you're selling Floyd and Chavez a bit short, and I'm not trying to be a GD, just kinda sad that most people don't realize that these two have been every bit as good as Osuna. Really, if Cecil returns to elite form and Loup pitches like he has before, we have a pretty f***ing good bullpen. Those things are far from long shots.
  24. Wo Suxton is ripping AAA a new *******. Exciting!
