No one is taking Morales at his salary. He provides literally no value to a team. That money is committed whether he plays or not. Virtually any other player could fill his place for league min and provide more value. His contract was a mistake, not a huge one, but a mistake nonetheless.

How does this make any sense? The team would be better without Morales, so it's pay him and play him making the team worse or pay him to go away, making the team better. How is that poor asset management?

I am 90% sure that Donaldson either won't play or will DH tomorrow. I have confidence that Gibby would not have put in Donaldson if he knew.

You think maybe it's possible that Gibbons didn't know beforehand that Donaldson would be throwing like a little girl?

If you need to play him, at least have him DH. Morales is a negative value player that can be replaced by anyone, just have JD DH and put Solarte at third.
