I think I've changed my mind about this deal tbh. I don't really think it's that bad at all. Didn't realize Paxton is already 30 and has never even logged 180 innings in a season. Sheffield and Swanson are solid prospects who are just about big league ready.

I don't see what difference that makes. He was a solid performer, and we have tangible evidence of this. A league average SS with 4 years of control should net you a lot more than some extremely s***** prospect.

I understand it and yes I'm happy for the organization, but it also means I will never again read anything written by Carson Cistulli. Cistulli's writing style was so unique and whimsical, and I feel like he could write about literally anything and it would be entertaining.
