    It's really not that difficult, its the umpires job to officiate the game according to the rules. If technology has shown that it can improve/enhance the umps ability to do this then MLB should be embracing whatever tools are available to ensure the game is called as close to error free as possible. The fact that MLB choses to ignore that there is a fairly straightforward solution to improve their officiating, is just sad. Umpires making mistakes is human...but the human aspect is no longer a "quirky" part of the game when much of it can be corrected.

    This poll makes no sense...of course you like the guy when he hits.....do you expect him to keep this up for the rest of the season....that is the real question. I personally think he will be somewhere around 260/345/425 after all is said and done...which for a DH on a competing team in the AL East....isn't good enough

    Snider has 7 AB's vs. LHP this year......there is a reason his slash line looks better then you would expect. For his career he has batted .235/.280/.378 vs. LHP with 74K's in 196 PA's (38%) Maybe he can stick as a career platoon player, or LH Pitch hitter If roids could ever help Snider hit LHP then I think he should give them a go.

    You can't really be comparing Snider to Melky with a straight face. One is a quality major league bat (border-line all star), the other will be out of baseball in 18 months. Melky's stats and the end of the year will be much better than Snider's and if you can't see that by now then may god have mercy on your soul.

    f*** off....What is he actually stealing from the other board? looks like stats/projections are from Fangraphs and logo's are from mlb/espn? As far as I'm concerned if graphics are posted on the web they are public domain. Also as far as the projections go...how come Bautista is only projected for 90+ games, dude has had one injury shortened season in past 4???

    Uggggh....MLB has massacred ability to use technology to facilitate their officiating....f*** the traditionalists! (oh look the umpire made a mistake...isn't that quaint?) Isn't the whole reason for having an umpire on the field is to ensue the game is called according to the rule book. You don't need these ass clowns on the field to do that anymore. MLB has the ability to significantly minimize umpire error, but instead chooses to sit on their hands, while every SNAFU gets replayed 1000x times on the net. I'm tired of watching calls called strikes that are 12 inches off the plate, and strikes called balls which are right down the chute, but are improperly "framed" by some jagoff catcher...and To screw something up after having access to review it on instant replay is just embarrassing.

    Dudes a big leaguer...if he can't figure out how to hail a cab, or call for a car service by now.....? One interesting take-away from Hayhurst's last book was that guys for the most part manage their own transport even on the road....team bus is for going to/from airport only.
