  1. Looks like it's going to happen.
  2. Lawrie absolutely killing the ball right now.
  3. I enjoyed the article, title and all.
  4. Since 2012 Lawrie has put up 26 DRS to Longoria's 12. Lawrie 0.1287 DRS per game. Longoria 0.0701 DRS per game.
  5. Manny Machado 37 Nolan Arenado 29 Brett Lawrie 26 David Wright 21 Luis Cruz 14 Longoria not in the top 5! This must be a mistake.
  6. Clearly I was wrong. Lol. Feel better now?
  7. I'm not saying that at all. Maybe I should have changed the wording. IMO Brett Lawrie is a better defender than Longoria.
  8. "Show me an example of another elite defender who's made three errors in the same game." I don't need to be a f***ing scout to see the obvious.
  9. Video of Longoria's 3 error day. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jnp5E87hs4A Longoria's arm isn't even comparable to Lawrie's. I've never seen Lawrie throw a three hopper down to first base.
  10. Not a fair comparison IMO. Elite starters have bad games, elite defenders don't make three errors in one game. Show me an example of another elite defender who's made three errors in the same game.
  11. Alomar was my hero as a kid so I'd rather not believe that. I'm sure there's enough video on youtube to prove that theory wrong anyway, the man was a stud.
  12. Anyone remember late last season when Longoria made 3 errors or something in one series against the Jays? Maybe that series alone has swayed my opinion, either way your right, I don't watch enough Rays games to say for certain.
  13. I'd put Machado right there with Lawrie, not so sure about Longoria and Beltre though.
  14. I understand you guys are probably looking at defensive metrics but, those same defensive metrics said Alomar was a negative defender. I'm not buying it.
  15. I don't agree. He's clearly better offensively but I don't doubt for a second Lawrie's a better defender.
  16. Is there a better defender at 3b in all of baseball? I wouldn't be at all surprised to see Lawrie put up a 5+ WAR season as soon as next season.
  17. There is a plugin for the thumbs up/down option available. I believe it's called "Ajax Thumbs Up" or something like that, I had it installed in one of VB forums shortly after it's release last year and it worked well.
  18. This was a legit poll and better than 90% of the garbage I see on this board. baseballsss is right nothing but a bunch of butt hurts around here. If you don't like the thread don't post in it, this site is just as bad as the old board was. I'd take Ruth and it's not even close.
  19. Why bother responding if this is all you have to say? Maybe the guys gf likes the shirt and asked him for it, my gf likes all kinds of tacky s***, still doesn't stop me from buying it for her.
  20. Boni was beyond horrible in the outfield, i've never seen a player take such horrible routes to the ball, his speed is the only thing that saved him out there.
  21. You must be kidding. How can instant replay be the most exciting thing to happen in baseball in your lifetime?
  22. Found these pics on the Braves message board. Apparently this is the fence the man fell over. First pic is the parking lot he fell into, second pic is the fence he fell over. The fence isn't even in the general stadium seating area and the fence does look awfully low, especially with the little step up in front of it.
