    I'm near Port Dover and we've been getting freezing rain for about an hour now, it's supposed to continue for most of the afternoon. Nothing like the sound of ice pellets hitting the roof while watching spring training baseball.

    Trading Bautista for Profar at the time was not "a no-brainer". Why risk trading a superstar with control for a single prospect? Profar is a perfect example of why you don't do it. I don't recall any 1 for 1 deals even close to what were discussing.

    I thought it was a horrible idea at the time. Why trade a superstar with 4-5 years of control for a prospect who's never played game in MLB? I still wouldn't trade Bautista for Bryant. I want to see this team win.

    There were a lot of posters around here who would have happily made that trade. Some didn't even think Bautista was enough if I recall correctly.

    I could see the Jays setting up the rotation so that Stroman gets to start the home opener. I'll be at the game, so I'm hoping this is the way it plays out.

    It should and likely will be Stroman. Nobody wan't to see the old man.

    They've said this many times over. This is why I don't understand why people get so hung up on this policy, the only guys getting more that 5 years are elite free agents signing $100 + million dollar contracts anyway. Have the Jays really missed out on anyone they could have realistically targeted due to the 5 year policy?

    I only have cell service with Rogers and had to pay $5 a month for the Rogers on demand app. This game me access on my cell phone only, the app could not be used with my PC or tablet. If you have a tablet with a sim slot you could watch on tablet. The app uses the sim card to verify your account, you must login with data package before switching to wifi when using the app. Last year Rogers had a promotion throughout most of the baseball season which included no overages on your data when using the Rogers on demand app. I believe it ran from May until September or something like that. I can't see them having the same promo this year so I'll likely just stick to MLB.TV

    I can't see the Red Sox keeping all those outfielders. I wouldn't be surprised to see Victorino and Craig traded before the season begins.

    I'm not a fan of the bullpen, but a breakout season from any random bullpen arm, and a little luck could result in the bullpen being a strength. Infield depth could end up being a more serious concern. If Donaldson or Reyes go down, and Smoak isn't performing, this team could be in some serious trouble.

    I'd be fairly surprised if the Jays consider Belisario the answer to their bullpen needs.
