    More teams making the playoffs will almost certainly increase interest in the game. It would cut down on the number of teams tanking every year and could even help increase salaries. I'm guessing the players are going to be on board.

    Had a look and it seems South Korea humidity levels are about 10% higher than Ontario in summer. That's gotta be f***ing awful!

    I could see AA return as president of baseball operations sometime in the distant future. A glimpse into the history of the Jays franchise makes his return seem inevitable.

    I honestly don't think the Jays FO wants anything to do with JD. I get the feeling he was responsible for a lot of the clubhouse drama we've been hearing about over the past couple seasons.

    So you would have been ok with the Jays giving Wheeler $25M + per season? Stroman is projected to be better and I think we could have locked him up for 5 years at under $100M. In hindsight giving Stroman 5/$80-90 might have been a good move. I'm not sure anyone predicated the market to move this fast. It's going to be a fun offseason anyway. Winter meetings will be worth tuning I to for a change

    It's a ton of money for sure. With all the Astros s*** going on I'd be a bit concerned about him being able to maintain what's he's done in Houston as well. Not sure how pitchers would cheat but he's been suspiciously good since moving the Astros.

    I think that's pretty close to what we see. I'm guessing 9/$300M so I'll go under, but barely.

    Reminds me of Samardzija a few years ago. Everyone thought he had TOR stuff but he just never really put it together. Wheeler will likely be a solid 2-4 in any rotation, but might never be that #1 everyone is dreaming on.

    It may be December 4th but the stove is red hot. Everyone is getting more money than projected and I'm legitimately concerned this FO won't have what it takes to pull the trigger and overpay for a legit FA. Shatkins has done a great job with the rebuild, but it's time to start winning. Give Cole or Strasburg the biggest contract ever for a pitcher and let's turn the page on this rebuild

    Plenty of others here make comments regarding his weight, eating habits and conditoning. People seem to forget he just turned 20.

    I watched videos of his workouts in the DR last year. Just because he wasn't in a gym doesn't mean he wasn't working out. Pretty laughable to see guys writing off a 20 year old potential superstar based on a click bait article.
