Joel Hanrahan (elbow) confirmed Saturday that he will undergo season-ending surgery.
Hanrahan said that he didn't really have a choice, as his flexor tendon is torn off the bone. He's expected to meet with Dr. James Andrews next week for surgery, which will sideline him for at least six months. There's a chance that Tommy John surgery will also be required, but we won't know definitively until next week. Hanrahan, 31, is set to become a free agent this offseason.
