  1. If we go into next season counting on Morrow anymore than we can count on McGowan, I'm gonna freak. I've given up on morrow at this point. His stuff didn't look as filthy this year either in my opinion. Still a great trade by AA!
  2. 89 jays after 68 games were 32-36.
  3. Ramon Ortiz. Todd Redmond. Mickey storey. Thad weber. There are 46 guys on there.

How many of those guys would make it through waivers.
  5. Right now it's all about jumping teams, next up is Kansas City at 1.5 games ahead of jays. Just need to take it one team at time.
  6. @Buster_ESPN: For those asking if OAK can sustain this: Over their last 162 games (back to June 14 of last year), the Athletics are 103-59, best in MLB. If the A's can play 40 games over .500, the jays can.
  7. Also, getting back into the race is also about jumping over teams. We jumped a couple and now are 1.5 games back of jumping the twins and royals. That should be the next goal.
  8. If we're close to back in it, say .500, and buehrle keeps pitching like he is, do you trade for a nothing prospect to dump the salary? If I were gm, I would.
  9. 6 foot 4, 17 years old and throws 97. Yeah let's fire AA!
  10. I had to miss the game, tuned in for 2 seconds to see Bautista steal 3rd with 2 outs...and should have been caught? Wtf is that! Did I miss something? Is this team full retard? The fundamentals on this team are shocking. Honestly, I really am not sure if I missed something? Why was he stealing? And on another rant, nothing to do with today....if I see JP throw from his knees one more time I'm gonna lose it. I swear to you, I could get the ball to 2nd base faster than him. Is there not a coach to teach the tard how to throw? He's a mother f***ing catcher? Get out of the squat and throw. Your arm is not good enough to throw from your knees.
  11. We really need Sanchez to pitch like matt Harvey, or moore on Tampa, but that won't be for a couple years. , Maybe stroman can stp up next year. If we want to trade for an ace it likely starts with Bautista. Good luck getting one as a free agent. I bet we go in to next year with: Dickey Morrow Buehrle Hutchison Happ Stroman #6 but will start year in top 5 due to an injury, likely to morrow who really should be our # 4 or 5. If dickey can bounce back, and Hutchinson pitches like he was before injury it might be a middle of the league rotation....but I'm sick of if's going into every year. This was supposed to be the year with no it's!
  12. If AA goes into next season counting on a full year out of morrow I will lead the bandwagon to have him fired. I'll never expect anything out of a season with morrow, anything he does is just a bonus.
  13. Correct me if I'm wrong, but he can't be taken of dl until June 13th? Still 2 weeks to go, but I'll take that over waiting till the all star break!!!
  14. Couldn't agree more, it worries me he is on the O's. in my opinion he is up there with Harper and trout...or damn close anyway. Definitely a talent they can build around and nothing we have anything close to.
  15. After the trade deadline I might have to. Depends what AA does.
  16. I'm getting tired of lawrie, f***in clown! Grow up, your a MLB player, 23 is old enough to not be acting like a 18 year old douche bag. Hit your f***in weight lawrie, shut the f*** up.
  17. Not sure what his age is, but I agree with this. He's been around long enough now that he is what he is. He might mix in one really good career year, but he'll likely frustrate us for the next few years. Or he'll find his way to the Yankees and turn into roger Clemens.
  18. Bautista was huge, but the buehrle performance was even bigger, a few more starts like that and a NL club desperate for pitching at the deadline might go for him. Even if we're back in the race, this is a salary AA needs to dump!
  19. That would be a great thread....I'm too lazy to do it and always hoped someone else wold. Come on gsnarls, you could be that guy! I'll 'thank' you in it....which will make it so worthwhile.
  20. Agreed, I think it was strategic to hold morrow back and it's going to pay off. More brilliance from AA and gibby. Time to get back on the AA bandwagon for anyone of you out there who have jumped off.
  21. Damn, one letter off.
  22. Despite requests from lgbl29 (I think is his name) to not start this thread, I figured I better do it anyway to keep the streak alive. Kuroda vs buehrle: with a fresh bullpen we are gonna take this. Morrow vs phelps: ass kicking for the jays! Cc vs dickey: close game but CC shuts us down to stop the bleeding for the yanks. 2 of 3 in New York is not bad at all to keep this streak going!
  23. I guess I better start a thread predicting the Yankees series!
  24. Good decision by AA to push morrow to the Yankees series, with off day Thursday we can burn the bullpen tommorow and sweep this mini series. 3 innings from our starter, then hand it to the pen. Things are turning, I'm a little upset with myself for writing this season off...getting the feeling things could turn out alright!
