I've never understood why people are against tank nation at this point of the year. I'm all for it, would love a top 5 pick. Only thing I don't like about it is cheering against say stroman if he gets a start on Saturday. In that case I hope he would go 7 great innings and Oliver blows it in the 8th.

I think every trade AA makes we should have a poll to see if people liked it or not. That way when Boni hits .340 in KC people can't second guess AA and call him a moron for trading him away for nothing. I am personally glad he was dumped, his 40 man roster spot is more valuable.

Well maybe you re right, but at the same time I want to give Romero one last chance this year so we don't waste any starts on him next year.

I agree, can still trade bautista in off season, might even have more teams to trade with. I don't think AA will do it though, maybe at next years deadline when were about 12 games back of wild card. He'll still have value then hopefully.

I'd be a lot angrier if other teams traded a lot of players, but not much actions at all. I would have thought with such few sellers that buyers would pay a premium but it doesn't appear that way. I guess not much AA could do. Still, #hatethisteam

Peavy going to Boston, means he'll enjoy sustained health and success....if peavy came to Toronto he would need his right arm amputated after 2 starts.

Was gonna say, a dugout fight would just top this season off perfectly. Maybe JP and lawrie taking on the starting 5, with Boni bouncing around in the background with his big bull s*** smile making gangsta signs with blood spattering the camera lense. -
I was watching, remember it clearly, and even though Travis still sucks, it is still a sad memory. Loved that guy!

I just had a vision, a wonderful vision. Tomorrow just as the bottom of the 7th is rolling around, and the jays are down by 5 or so runs...JP finishes warming up the pitcher, cespedes steps into the box....then Gibbons calls for JP to come out for Thole...then JP is seen hugging team mates in the dug out...........

How about we dump Lind at the trade deadline, move melky to DH, and platoon Pillar and gose as an audition for next year. Note: I'm guessing pillar bats right but in fact have no clue.

I see what you are all saying, I just don't think he'll perform next year. I wouldn't risk 15 mil on it unless Rogers has really opened up the vault for the team. -
He's a slow starter, as is dickey, which means if we keep them next yer it will be another rough April if they make up 40% of the rotation. I want Buerhle gone even though he is doing exactly what he does year after year and still has value. His 19 mil and JJ's 15 mil off the books next year would really help.

I'd rather take my chances on Hutchison then give JJ 15 mil. Cut the losses and let him walk...back to the NL, he might be decent there. -
Sadly, I was one of the last people who held out hope for JP I'm embarrassed to say. I only gave up on the guy about 2 months. I've rarely if ever bashed him.
