  1. Don't expect Pudge defense lol, I expect something like Martin Maldonado from the brewers edit: not the offense but similar impact on defense
  2. True but if Jimenez is good defensively and is a decent framer then he'll provided the same value for way cheaper
  3. It would mean that Pillar is pretty useless next year
  4. If they want the jays to eat a significant chunk then they have to give up a top prospect cause dude is still an above average hitting shortstop provided he can stay healthy for a good chuck of the season like this one
  5. John can't play centerfield though
  6. I'm talking about moving him
  7. I think he can be had for a reasonable 3 year deal. He's 32 making 7 million this year. Gladly give him 8,9,10 million a year to provide 2-3 war a year for the life of that contract
  8. Dwight smith jr 284/362/456 with a .171 iso. Move him to 2nd base, would become a pretty damn good prospect
  9. Barreto and Urena are the only legit position prospects, Locastro is interesting because of his hbp totals. If that is a skill then we might have something.
  10. Pretty much an egg on the face of Billy Beane if he traded a 21 year old future stud for mediocre pitchers. Lester in a wild card game gives them a edge.
  11. Wasn't the whole point of renovating the Rogers Centre a few years ago to boost the fan experience? Why haven't these idiots address this? Too busy making sure guys from the 500 level don't sneak into the 100 level.
  12. They really should wait until next may to call up Norris.
  13. You can't compare the Rogers centre to Wrigley or Fenway considering both are at least a 100 years old. Rogers can upgrade the facilities even it takes a year or 2. Just do it. Complacency or cheapness, poor management and paying for mouth pieces like Wilner. Rogers needs to put the team up for sale. 21 years!
  14. “Has anyone seen the weight room? It’s about as big as this area we’re in right now, this little room,” said Girardi, gesturing to the crowded visitors’ dugout. “It doesn’t have a SwimEx. It doesn’t have all the modalities. I mean, I told you, I’m concerned about him. I am concerned about him. "A SwimEx is a small pool that uses jets to create a constant current, allowing users to swim in place. Modalities refers to a variety of treatments including hot packs, cold packs and ultrasound." Those quotes are telling, are they waiting until Argos move out to upgrade these too? Do everything in your power to make the stadium as modern as possible.
  15. If reyes, dickey, thole, buehrle and navarro are on this team next year I don't see how they will compete. Buehrle only has a year left on the contract so you bite the bullet so his 200 innings prove useful while the younger guys build their arms up
  16. Yes use some of that payroll flexibility to get rid of Reyes and Navarro to set the team for 2016 and beyond. If you can trade either Buehrle or Dickey, whichever needs the least amount of money included in the trade
  17. http://www.sportsnet.ca/baseball/mlb/girardi-criticizes-rogers-centres-weight-room/ Had to send Tanaka back to New York because they didn't have the proper rehabilitation amenities to keep him with the team while he continues his recovery
  18. you can do both, trade Reyes and release Navarro. Bring back kratz or get Russell Martin. We still have to deal with Thole as the back up smh
  19. moves reyes, pay what you have to and pick up JJ Hardy or a similar player for cheap. Trade A young pitcher (Sanchez or Hutchison) for one of their young middle infielders plus a relief pitching prospect.
  20. I see Pompey making the team next year, then struggles for a bit sent down and comes back up for good
  21. Yeah but he said command in reference to Sanchez, Sanchez doesn't have command he's shown good control
  22. Thats control not command, Command is hitting the glove without the catcher having to move an inch
  23. How do you expect him to be a perfectly adjusted adult after a painful childhood. Being creepy and not anything more is probably best case scenario for folks like Dickey
  24. Haha count on Morrow, you're hilarious today Ang
  25. Hilarious thread
